Hi, I'm currently trying to swap out the sprites for 'Nidhoggur's Guardian's to make doing nidhoggur nest runs easier since theyre so freakin hard to find. I think I'm going to swap it with something that sticks out like a peco or something. This will be my first time doing an actual sprite swap, so I'm kind of iffy about it, but the first step to start is to find the damn SPR file for nidhoggur guardians, and I cant seem to find any mob info at all on them. If anyone can help me out here that would be great, and perhaps give me some basic instructions how to do a sprite swap so that I dont end up getting a bunch of errors (if thats even possible). I've done audio swaps on the data.grf file before, so I'm not a complete newbie to this, it's just that navigating the folders when everything is titled with jibberish is rather difficult. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me!

BTW this is for the iRO client, not a pserver client

Unless iRO uses something different then what is used at pservers, the ids are the same as the other "water" monsters. 2020 and 2021. It's the same that happens at Bio maps with mini, non-mini and mvps.

Thats odd. So the guardians dont have their own codes then?  ><

It's the same that happens with Bio 3 mobs [and probably with Bio 4 too]. The only way to distinguish them is by noticing the differences like Skills used, Higher HP and etc.

Astraeos

They're the same ID, they just have scripts attached to them so when they're killed they interact with some function connected to the quest. You can download a current build of published private server internal programs and look up the scripts for ET, works the same way.

You'd need an actor filter that will look up all the names of the monsters as they load on your screen and highlight them for you. Such a thing used to exist a very long time ago, but I've never been able to find it in the recent years and even if I could I doubt it would work on current clients.

And what Tripper is mentioning are the mini-boss and MVP for Bio3, they share the same SPR file, the difference with those is they have different IDs which can be filtered and manipulated, but require a 3rd party program to do so in real time. Changing the files will do nothing in either situation.
