grammar nazis. i.e. "most" means Very, it's a superlative and more often than not points to one object instead of many. Furthermore, the wording of the title chose "monster" as opposed to "monsters" meaning that there should be only one....

Gonna annoy you and fix this.

Most rarely ever refers to a single term.  It would be improper grammar if it were to refer only to one object.  It has a set definition.

A direct definition can be found here:

adjective, superl. of much or many with more as compar.

in the greatest quantity, amount, measure, degree, or number: to win the most votes.
2.
in the majority of instances: Most operations are successful

What you may be thinking on is a sentence in this example:

Singular: Most of the food was delicious.  This turns it into a singular sentence; however, the item it's referring to is not overall single.  It's referring to a great quantity which means it's still not a single object.

Most in that sentence refers to food, but food is being describe as something under great quantity.

Also another thing is that monsters is always plural and never singular, so of course this was the proper way to word it.  He was talking about a single monster, and that's all.

Just had to fix what you were saying.   Haha.  I'm not a grammar nazi, but I hate it when people point out the English language with the complete opposite answer.
