A little question

We have just started a server back. We are haveing problems with one person always spamming our forums with porn and foul language. We IP banned him, but that just doesn't help. We have had to completely shut down the forum. Does anyone have a suggestion on what could be done about this? Your help is greatly apperciated.

You don't mean a spam bot by a chance? If so, than install a mod for your forum soft which during the process of registration requires to type some random phrase or so from a random image. Many forums use such thing.

No its not a bot, its a person we know. He always seems to get around the ip ban somehow. But thank you for that info.

Well, not somehow but using proxies. Geotunnel.com for example offers an easy use of different proxies. You could either hire active mods or find a mod which would automatically hide/delete posts with certain words. The avaiability of such should vary depending on your forum soft though.
