Oh yeah 1 more thing... as I tried clicking on some links on your site...

"Don't lose your website" Your website should always stay as reference. Have all offsite/external link open another browser or tab. Some offsite links on your website uses the current browser which would totally lose your website. Using the back button isn't user friendly ;D

I really like how PSIblade's site is made (note: I've never played there so as not to be judged of advertising). It's really pleasing for the eye, the announcments are 'forum like' (quite nice avatars with the name of the poster on the left), all the neccessary elements are there, it's clear and easily readable.

It does look nice,i didn t know Div layouts were popular(makes your forum news appear on website)

Changed the menu BG and the TXT BG + added an independant flash guest book :3

Not to be rude but that banner of yours is quite crappy. The lightning source on the renders fails and the strokes around those are unnecessary. Reducing opacity isn't good as well. You could probably go without any renders, except for the city stock, you would just have to focus on the font, it's awful.
The orange background hurts my eyes badly (well, it could have been worse, you could've chosen red which would be an instant kill~). The buttons on the left just won't do. You get the feeling that they should stick to each other or be very, very close (not more than 3 pixels). The lower right corner when that overlayed character on the background is makes the text not too readable. News box - links with just the title of it won't do. I really love to read announcments when they are on the main page (reffer to the PSIblade main page), and when they are really often updated (gives the feeling of a lively server). Maybe try making it without the space on the top? You know, where the 'border' above the banner is where you can see the background.
It gives a quite bad impression as well. But I'll be really nice and judge that main page as average- at most. If it improves in time I might even not be discouraged by it and see what lies inside~

-1.The banner should have less renders?
-2.Removing the top,
-3.Changing the BG to what?
-4.Reducing menu marge
-5.get a good, formal annoucement page that takes it s source from th IPB fofo
those are the suggestions from your ,they do make sense but banner with less renders :'( why T_T,?
and no one told me what font to use yet(just a tip)
also for the BG ,what to do what to do :/

Emeralda

Not that it should have less. Just in this case, where renders seem to be randomly pasted without caring for the whole, it might look better. But still, there's nothing better than a banner made by someone who knows what he's doing. I usually see only couple of such on a really big forum (sadly none on this so far). It would be best to just change the whole banner. Also, when placing a text on banners, they should be visible (unlike on sigs). Your font won't do at all (the 'transcend something' text's one) and it uses unnecessary or rather badly chosen layer styles.

You could give a simple line to divide it from the browsers interface. But here the problem with the top that it has a really crappy background.

And the background should be something not so 'eye-damaging'. Try with a simple gradient (as in, one colour darker and the second same but lighter) for starters to see what colour scheme would fit.

I don't know what 4th point means...

Dunno about IPB one, but the one on PSIblade is one of the best looking ways to make announcements I've seen. At least for me. Gah, their page has a totally awesome design~

Poorly tiled JPEG background. No tables. Times New Roman font aligned to the left of the page, yellow text. Broken links and a guestbook.

Incorrect spelling
just need to change it abit so it would make more sense. But overall tis an ok for me.

Updated BG

Where? I don't see a difference. The main colour scheme is still eye-damaging orange.

no more diference between menu's!

Now notice how empty the left side is. More or less like the right part which could be described as below 'nothing special'.

Transcend

aya what you are saying dosen t make much sense to me X______x!
eye damaging?
empty right side ?
empty left side=got a solution for it :)

Emeralda

Hmmm... the colours you used there doesn't make it too pleasing for the eye. And there are a lot of empty spaces which spoil the general look of it. If you take the menu for example, above and below it there is nothing and that space just asks to be filled with something. The right and center are occupied by text in random boxes on a badly suited background (at least it looks like that from my perspective). Maybe if they had own background. And try to use calmer and lighter colours for it.

Transcend

i don t know much about colors, light or calm or furious xD,got a link :)?
