How often was your hunting spot ruined?

/an Thinking back this many years, I noticed every time when there is a decent leveling spot, it only take Gravity very little work to "update" and change the spawn to make it fruitless for me.  I'll just note down all those disappointed/pissed moment ...

Ant Hell - Maybe not many know, it used be free of bats and full of mages.  Not anymore, totally ruined.  This was 2004 or earlier.
Hode map - Added sandmans, ruined.
Argiope north of Prontera - Added mantis, ruined.  Then now it's not on the Angeling map anymore.
Sting - Added Gargoyle, ruined.
Alarm in Clock Tower 3 - Added Rideword and others.
Increased Soil - changed the fixed spawn and more mantis.

Gravity hate mages?  think they level too easily?  This is how I feel lol.

Ancient Mummy Pyramid B1 - was it better before?  Don't remember why nobody goes there anymore, is it because anubis is more fruitful?

Anubis is next?  This one lasted for so long without much nerf.

I mostly level as a mage/wizard not sure about the others ruined part of the RO world based on other classes' perspective.  Share your experience.

You want it too easy.
Assasins have it hard too, rachel field 1 got changed, replaced all the droseras and muacipilars with Desert Wolves. It's a great place to level with Grimtooth except for one thing... they also placed anopheles there.

It doesn't happen only with RO, I remember many other games having the same. One that I remember that was very popular was at Diablo 2:lod where people would do Ubber Tristam runs to get just Mephisto alone and use it like an Hydro pre-nerf lol

Mimics were intentionally placed in Glastheim to prevent Aco parties on Evil Druids >:

and Hunter Flies in the prison; not sure if they were always there, but they're pests. Pests, pests, pests!

i think while a ton of maps/monsters were changed (remember old churchyard?), gravity made it easier to level by adding trans, the exp quests, quests in general, and other random updates
it was such a simple game before, when monsters just stood there and hit you and had no skills, and knights could just use counter attack to solo wanderers; it's arguable whether it got better or worse as the updates came

Haha yea I miss Maya move in snail speed without skill and would just walk right into my line of fire pillars until I see the mvp sign.

I know all they want is to make us play longer, explore the world instead of sticking to one place to level to 99.  Of course as players we want everything easy /heh

easy for generic pvm, some hardcore dungeons/mvps that would ask always for a party would be fun :(

Actually I always though that mimics, hunter flies and other annoying mobs were added because of low lv bots ._.

There is a little spot in abbey03 where monster doesn't see you and beneffits leeching partys. No idea if Gravity would change it.

Geffen dungeon used to be an awesome training place for lvl 20+. until gravity decided to make it harder :< by adding hunter flies.

With me my whole sever got messed up. They let out what everyone dreadingly called the "Update." They buffed just about every monster, and made some able to detect invisible players. It became nearly impossible without a six person party. Plus, they heavily over buffed the MVPs. Before it would take a party of three to five people to defeat Garm. Post-Update my guild, 60 people strong, spent two hours trying to kill one Garm in vain.

Pretty much every hunting spot I had beyond Porings and Thiefbugs was gone. I couldn't find a single spot with monsters that weren't super powered.  /pif

yeah, my leveling spots have been ruined many times in the past. those damn bot hunters...

Definitely geffen dungeon. I used to go there with a party during iRO then they added hunter flies after a long break :(.

^ That place is basically a hunter fly heaven now, barely any poison spores left :(
But GH Underprison was also changed quite a bit with the removal / moving of Skeleton Prisoner implementing Rybio & Injustice & removing / moving Brilight, that also made it quite a bit harder for mages/wizards, as it previously used to be a place with tons of wizard parties and priests standing in the back. Loved it back then.. oh the good old days, 50+ users in GH Underprison..

However Assassin, Blacksmith & Knight have also suffered via the removal of Geffen field 14 (old Orc Hero map / High Orc, West of Orc Dungeon)

i remember fondly of the old clock tower 1 (the bathory map). it was both a leveling haven and a berry farm (baphomet jrs. on the lower part of the dungeon), then gravity decided to replace them with ridewords. it suddenly became a deserted place.

basement 4 was the new bathory map, some people still level there, but it was never the same again.
