Renewal Resource..?

Hi guys,

I know that most active posters here on RMS forums are not familiar with Renewal, but would you guys know where I can turn to? All I've been looking at is irowiki forums (iRO wiki itself, ironically, is outdated/no longer updated for some things). Problem is, it's a jungle there and it's testing my search skills.  And there is an absurd amount of players who give tips in threads which are actually false ~_~

I wouldn't mind links to pserver forums with active discussions on Renewal things, as long as the pserver runs rAthena.

Any ideas?

RO once had tons of resources no matter the episode. Renewal doesn't have much compiled guides though. I guess that's a result of the RO playerbase fading and half of that not liking Renewal. Boo!

Renewal doesn't have much love like pre-renewal but don't forget that nowadays the build is pretty much standard to make so there isn't a big need of guides. You have a one shot skill that you stick to it and the stats to boost it and gear is pretty much want kafra shop/new items are released at that moment. The game is now pretty much a P2W instead of P2P or F2P like it used to be :v

Anyway, enough off topic.

I sometimes check a Brazilian website called Ragnatales. They don't have a lot of stuff but sometimes they've useful things. Bad thing, it's on Portuguese from Brazil =P

Another useful resource is the jrowiki. They post the kro updates in here really fast and lots of useful kro info like formulas and stats. Bad thing, it's on japanese =P

Thanks for those two sites! Do you use google translate to wade through those sites? If so then I guess I can also manage.

I'm not looking for explicit optimizing guides per se -- I just want to know what's available to me and how they fare or how players feel about them (for ex, what equips got useless -- 4 slot weps yeah sure but some level 4 weps and armors also became obsolete).

EDIT: I'm also mostly interested in discussions on mechanics -- such as damage calculations, cast time calculations, etc. I want to do my own math without, as much as possible, having to do everything from scratch (i.e. doing statistically sound tests, modelling, etc) due to time constraints.

Also, does anyone know the most reliable renewal stat calc? Looks like none of them are completely on the mark from reading player feedback in irowiki forums, but meh rA won't be on the mark either. Which one do you guys use?

Ragnatales no. I'm Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil is very similar and people here are used to see soups all the time at tv from that place so it's super easy for me to understand stuff there[if you need a quick translation of something there that google fails just ask in pm].

The JRO wiki I use sometimes and works fine like 90% of the time[ofc some thinking here and there sometimes is needed but works fine].

The best renewal calc at the moment is the irowikicalc, I think. The only problem is that it follows the formulas given by Heimdall most of the time and that includes any custom changes that they make.
