Being a man and wearing a dress, obviously.Ugh I hate the defalt GM Suit :D Maybe they think they will be all cool if they are a GM. Or maybe their corrupt and want to give items to their legits :o
If your just pasting your resume every time you see a "Hiring GM" topic, yeah your corrupted. If your randomly pasting in other people's Resume just because their resume attracts more attention then yours, your Immature. If you make multiple resume just because your old one is getting bumped down, your desperate.Very nicely worded. +1.
Some people wish to be accepted by the masses while others wish to become someone they could never be in reality. They want to be the guy holding the knife instead of the other way around for them. Ergo they decide to become a position higher then the players.
On a Very few and rare occasion, there are some people who apply wish to be given a chance to show you their potentials while other servers have rejected them. It is very hard to obtain a position as a Game Master when you first began. Some have to lie about their experience just so they could be given the opportunity to try out as a Game Master.
I have this feeling before where if I become a GM, I can tell my friends "H!t m3! @nD !'LL [email protected]!n [email protected] y0h @ss!"

This is kind of off topic (but on topic), but I really need to get this out.
Why in the world are the same (five, six?) people posting in every single topic they can find, INCLUDING topics of which the OP is no longer looking for people/the server died, or posting their applications when the position they want is not even close to the positions the OP is looking for?
I mean, the idea that these people are copying and pasting the same, poorly done applications, with (what appears to be) no thought put in to at all is sad enough, but necro'ing old posts, and not even being able to qualify for the positions desired (which is against the ToS, I might add)? Seriously.
Because that's the only job they can get in life.

Honestly, it all boils down to the fact that the resume spammers don't get why they're not being hired, and think that repeatedly posting it will increase their chances.
As an Admin/Owner, I can say with all seriousness that the ones spamming their resumes all over would never be considered for a position on my server, and their posts would be overlooked if we ever used RMS to recruit staff.
The first GM job I had, I never even asked for it. I got it after a lengthy chat with the server owner(of a server I was on for nearly a year straight), and when I asked "Why me?", he replied with "Because you didn't ask to be a GM, you didn't actively seek it, you helped people at a player level, and that alone puts you ahead of the rest of the candidates", and it's the truth.
The one who posts his or her resume once are the ones that should deserve the best consideration, for they have the patience to wait for a reply, which in turn, shows they will be patient in other aspects if hired.
I so much enjoy reading the resumes. They're so funny. especially how they all say they're nice, friendly, mature, helpful, etc, honestly!

And how they have a perfect english when they don't even know how to write.
People always desire power, fame, wealth, and so forth.
But seriously, the only problem that I found is that everyone knows how to make events and support players, why do people feel so special that they do so?I wonder why a server would hire someone as useless as that.
:s
Cause ....
Just look at the gems of resumes from users like Flang, Cayatenoaldaba, dandrew...
I wonder why a...
the best GM is one that posts only once in the recruitment topics XDFixed, for it shows that they're dedicated to that and only that server. Plus it shows that they're interested in that server.
A lot of servers been recruiting those kind of people, no wonder RO have so much drama :/And this is why the server fails before the GM does.
Also another funny and pathetic thing I discovered: those guys who recruit hosters, scripters, spriters etc, basically they want a server served on a silver plate :D

The problem isn't that everyone "Knows" how to do it, the problem is, people don't do it right. It takes a very good GM to do support and events the correct way.
Just wondering...is it just a coincidence that about 90%...well maybe even 100% of people posting their pathetic begs for becoming a GM are in GMT+7/+8? /ho

They likely think that being a GM will mean everyone loves them and is nice to them all the time. They seem to think the position means automatic respect, but somehow missed out that it also means a whole lot of works.
On top of this they have no idea that, in fact, "love and respect" are two of the hardest things to get as a GM, you're more likely to get lots of hate every time you punish a player, or, play a part in a choice that was for the good of the server but perhaps not what a good deal of people desire.
I think those who flood that section with applications do so with, probably, innocent intentions. They just want to be popular and loved and maybe be able to show off. They are simply failing to realise that things don't work the way they hoped, and sadly, if they do get hired, they're in for a very rude awakening.
So much this. I've had a lot of players say "Oh I would love to be a GM you get everyone to talk to you blah blah" not taking into account most of the time people talk to you it is to complain about something or demand something. My favorite is always "Well why does blah blah take you guys so long, it isn't really THAT hard."
On top of all this you are at risk of LOSING friends, if you're doing the job right, because even if they're your friend, if they break a rule you will need to punish them. And sometimes people assume that "Oh, no my friend is a GM, I can get away with things" so when they end up banned they blame you for allowing it to happen...
