Private Server Problem

I played RO years ago and have been trying to play on some servers within the past 1-2 years but this same issue comes up often enough I am begining to believe it is possibly some settings I have but I have no idea what they could be.

Basically nearly every private server I have attempted to play on I have had an issue with their patcher. After I setup their full client and try to run the patcher I can around half the time run the patcher and then run the client, after I do that the next time I try to run the patcher nothing happens, there is no error the patcher does not come up but if I try to delete the patcher it says it is still running and checking the task manager shows that a process for the patcher is running. There does not appear to be any settings I can alter to fix this, excluding nearly every file in the folder from the firewall or turning off the firewall completely does nothing, permissions, compatibility mode or security settings do nothing, restarting my computer/redownloading SOMETIMES works but will only work once before going back to not running the patcher.

If the server has an exe that lets me start without running the patcher that runs fine, I am able to play until I run into something that needs me to patch the server obviously, some servers that offered manual patching also worked fine after I went to their forums and got myself up to date. Some server admins have given me help in the form of custom downloads that have either worked or not worked. I am able to patch kro and sakray without any issue it is only private server patches that give me an issue, only one server I can recall off the top of my head has never given me this issue and that one is AvalonRO, or other such old servers.

I have no real idea when I began having this issue, I have had this same computer for around 8 years and do not recall this problem. My OS is windows vista 32bit. The my current security system is Windows Security Center.

Tried right click and run it as admin? Some patchers need that to work at 100%.

Yes that is something I do all the time. I have also turned off User Account Control completely when I install or patch I should probley have put that in the first part as well.
