BG/MVP sniper:stats build equipment strategy?

Hey guys,
I love my Sin X but I won over 1700 badges with her and I'd like to find a second class that I like so that I can BG with 2 chars. There's this one sniper on our serv that is EXTREMELY annoying in PVP. To me sniper is mainly a one-button char in PVP (that's how she plays the class anyway) but I'm aware of the fact that I could lay traps downs and maybe arrow shower or make a status bow (but with which cards?). However with a team (and even without one) the sniper I'm talking about is deadly. She wears Lbh, robo eyes and gangster scarf/pirate dagger. For me hockey mask is better than robo eyes hands down as I can have unlimited green salad thanks to my champ. I can't get LBH but I can either use Alice doll or I could make ramen hat. Snipers have virtually no HP so I don't think that I could shine alone like I'm sometimes able to with my Sin X (granted it's not that hard with EDP as you OS people). I guess that the best PVP bow damage-wise would be +10 triple bloody boned compo bow. Getting 150 dex with food shouldn't be that hard. I'm clueless about stats and equips though when it comes to PVPing/BG. Woe reducs aren't implemented in BG so that's good for my sniper. I can drop slotted gloves and use 1 smokie and 1 zerom. In the armor I could either put ED or porcellio (not very original). The garment card is problematic though. I don't think bapho jr would be appropriate but GW and aliot are useless for a sniper. Noxious might be a good compromise even if I'll be majorly squishy, Should I try to get the BG set? Since I have 2 BSBs I thought about using shackles + BSB and gloves+smokie (sniper Moh would mean losing the hiding clip and that's a no no). I don't know which armor I should use and if BSB is good for a sniper. PVM it's excellent (you can't get a better DD access anyway) but PVP I'm not sure. I thought about enchanting tights (or worst case scenario, a coat) to get dex+3 but again I could get better dex food instead. As for the build I thought about a dex/vit/agi/int one.

Okay, now the MVP part. I'm still struggling (I don't have an MVP bow but even then it's no excuse). I managed to kill stormy knight, phreeoni, garm and gopinich pretty easily but garm is still a problem even if I did finish him off. I kind of gave up on valkyrie as she TPs and is just a major pain in the butt w/o a party. I knox that some people on my serv solo randgris but hey, good for them. I also know that snipers are pretty much stuck killing lower-tier MVPs but I'd appreciate it if someone suggested a decent build/strategy for other MVPs, not necessarily harder ones. Stormy and gopinich are lower-middle tiers and I'm fine with them so there might be some other MVP out there that I could kill easily with a strictly PVM bow. (2.7k DS). Any advice regarding BG or MVP strategy is welcome as I said, I'm more than willing to learn new things. My sniper is 99 and I can reset stats. I'll also make a WS topic for MVP and possibly BG but WS is one of the easiest PVP chars to play (CT CT CT). I tried it out and it works even if you don't know anything.

IMO On Snipers ASPD>Damage if you want a DD out of DS. Even without WoE reductions good snipers deal only about 200x2 - 400x2 VS a good player. Mastela should be an easy pot for that specially on vit builds. I'd suggest getting aspd. Check your BG too if it reduces flee. You can still have 210+ flee I think even with reducs.

Also IMO 2.7k DS isn't very nice on MVPs like gopinich garm and edda. Last time I remember is dishing out 7.5k DS w/out foods. Only buffs are self buff and Bless Agi. AK is a must on MvP Snipers. If you want more DS damage just get Dragon Tail without the whole card set. A good combo is also to dish out a number of DS then use FA as your last skill. Know your enemy'd health before even trying that. Orc Archer Bow is also good for all around if you don't have multiple bows. But getting 3x AK+Sniper card set comp deals the best damage IMO.

For bg i would go full reduces with earthen bow+magnolia to stone and curse people, if the stone isn't working fine then pure dmg bow ds with traps. If this all fail then just support the team with traps+status bow since some traps[like claymores i think] let you give status with them if your gears give them as a bonus. If there is bragi available, sharp shooter ftw with snip suit.

BG / WoE sniper. Get also status bow.

As for MvP if you can't get compo bow with AK cards try getting orc archer and endows.

Thanks, this actually helps a lot. I do have the sniper combo so basically what you're saying is that I could dish out an optimal amount of damage with 3AK+cruiser? I can buy 3 AKs I guess.
We can enchant armors here so I was wondering if an enchanted coat would be better than tights as the drop rate for tights is low on our serv. I can get ramen hat and I could try to buy robo eyes even though nobody's selling. By the way someone flat out told me that buying proxy/variant/w/e would be impossible as guilds don't share that type of item with other players.
I could buy stuff like Valk Armor Dboots or Darmor for a VERY hefty price (and even then I'm not sure I could get the whole combo) but it looks like unless I find a guild I'll be stuck with diablos manteau at best.

It's not the end of the world but it also means that even stuff like OG will be hard as hell to find as it's another "guild-only" item.
I might have to get ramen hat instead of Ulle's cap as even if the slot is nice, as I said finding OG will be near-impossible (even if I'll try).
I'm literally 5 badges away from having 1200 badges on my Sin X (I have 700 on my LK) which means that I will soon be able to buy a medal for my sniper and my WS.

With the build triper nicely suggested I used I get up to 5.5K. I don't know if it's enough or not, but it's already a food-based build and one that looks good I think.
It allows the sniper to deal 7K damage on kasa which is nice, even if technically speaking you can go up to 10K. I don't exactly remember how though, I'll have to do some digging.


Which MVPs do you suggest I tackle next? Obviously not garm, gopinich or phreeoni as I can kill them with a measly 2K-something DS.

everything except valk,satan,misstres(annoying as hell and she pneumas, solved when you have a hp with you), bee (not alone anyways), bio3?

rest you could solo or 2 man with a hp (try it with a hp, makes things 500% easier than solo)

seriously, why don't you try getting in a guild, if a guild is good, they'll farm og's easily with like 4 people and not to mention all the "hard" mvps eh

Look at double bound 2 AKs + Cruiser as well. People tend to forget the usefulness of this (not talking about auto ds - that s*** sucks), it has good base atk for the [3] bow

Double Bound sucks for me, I don't know why people like it, this is what I know from it.

If you've DEX < 170 DB is good, for 170 and more DB sucks, compo is easier to make +10 and better overall.

AT 170 DEX doing click and rely on aspd DB 2ak+cruiser = DB wins but is so small that you don't notice it.
Vs a low def mvp maybe the difference is easier to see but still the thing is so small that not worth the pain for me[on moonlight the difference is like less then half a sec lool].

You can test at the calc that vs Garm with the things I suggested the final time of the kill of a Garm is exactly the same using DB or compo both at +10 with the cards ak, cruiser etc so trying to get a double bound isn't even worth.

I'm not getting double bound anyway, and I didn't have much time to hunt AKs with my WS since I spent an hour or so BGing and logging on my alchemists to farm scrolls for the next BG.
BSB would be best for Sniper as an accessory and then nimble gloves of orlean but sadly enough BSB+ shackles weighs A LOT.
Actually I need to log onto RMS test serv to try some stuff out on harder MVPs though you're right, with a priest friend things are way smoother.

I'm not 100% sure actually, I think that it entirely depends on your build. Moreover beholder master is a guild dungeon mob so my chances of getting linen glove are slim (I sound like a broken record, I should probably find a guild that's not filled with trolls... wait they all are.)

If you really want damage, making a slotted bow thimble is a good idea if you can't get a higher dex damage bonus.

Oh yeah thanks, that's a really good idea especially if I can't get MoH or if I find BSB to be too heavy (or if slotted bow thimble helps me get more dex with zerom).
