indeed, now the question is, when you get 100% or more resistance, will SG still move you about or will it not register at all?

and fluidin, does your list imply that the armor slot is used for marc rather than swordfish?

what happens if you have 100% resistance but you don't have marc? will you still freeze?

-w-

It has to be exactly 100%

If you are above 100% you are practically still hittable, I really don't know why or what is going wrong in the formula for ie; damage, magic damage.. but you get the 'ghost hit' and can still be hit depending on mATK.

When you go over the 100% resist, you start to soak in the damage and gain health.

wow...

now correct me if i'm wrong, but for non custom non BG servers that would be:
tidals (shoes) 5%
leaf cat (headgear card) 10%
leather of tendrilion (garment) 5%
marse (garment card) 30%
valkyrja's shield (shield) 20%
cold resist pot (consumable) 20%

urgh 90%...

so it really is trans-locked and would need waterdrop brooch or ring of water... and aqua elemental card would also be hax, but then you might want to leave the leaf cat at home as to not get the ghost hit...

on a side note, why does the script "bonus2 bSubEle,Ele_Water" seem to come with both the description "Decreases damage on (from?) Water Property enemies by 5%" and "increases 5% resistance from the monster to Water and Earth property attacks"...
how does it really work?
from ALL water property monsters even if their default attack is neutral?
does players count if they're using swordfish?
or just from water property ATTACKS?

anyone care to enlighten me on this?

there IS another way though.

tidal shoes - 5%
marse carded leather of tendrilion - 35%
cranial valk - 20%
2x glorious rings -20%
water ele res pot -20%

thats 100% water res right there :x

now u can walk thru SGs~

if 100% water resist am im immune to freeze? and glorious ring means wad card compounded in it??

eh meh, nvm about the ghost hit, it'll only be possible to damage someone with >100% reducts using melee.

about your post, water property monsters will still do unless they use ie; a water property attack like water ball

players will also be able to do damage even when using swordfish

@jokingkiller
No, frost joker can still freeze you and melee attacks with freezing cards like sk, marina etc

i havent tried frost joke yet tho.

the idea came from an iro vid, whr a sinx was wearing those exact same gears. i didnt really see him switching between GR and unfrozen/ed often, yet in a large scale battle he wasnt getting frozen. so, i'm not really sure abt FJ. did u try it on the test server relics?

the only time he actually got frozen in the vid was when someone tarot-froze him i think
XileRo is the only HR I know that has a reasonable PvP system. I did watch the RWC like you said, all I see is people spamming the room like every other gang fight there is in RO.

Yea, tested on test server.. freezes.
And it makes sense you know, freeze is not like a water prop attack or something, it's a status lol

hmmph so i guess it's just like most skills/items descriptions everywhere in the RO world...

so the logic seems to be that if you have >100% resistance to water, water element attacks such as SG won't hit you meaning you won't be frozen while FJ being a non-elemental status attack will still freeze you...

so in the end grav really gimped those dancers and gave all the best skills to bards... meh typical...
