What would make Venom Splasher worth developing a build for it?

Suspension

That's it. What changes does Venom Splasher needs for it to be great on pvm/pvp/woe?

Removing the HP requisite? Less cooldown?

The whole mechanic behind makes this skill to one of most useless one ever.
Even little Merchant 20 lvls lower deals ore dps with autohits. On the first sight the 1000% looks promising but the dmg is a freaking joke.
If you manage to cut the timer to 1 sec, make it spamable and change it to 9 cell range it might be useful.

also, damage is spread between the targets it  has around.

To make it worth it i would

1) keep the timer
2) make it seeking: not reductable by defense and that always hits
3) dont spread the damage but deal (500+50*PoisonReactLvl)% to all targets within range
4) remove the hp requisite

It's important to note that only str and +dmg cards increase it's damage, not %racial, nor %size, nor %elemental cards, however the damage it deals takes into account your weapon's property.

1) Both timers? I find it a little too much waiting 9 seconds for it to succeed.
2) It currently ignores flee. About defense bypassing I'm against it, if the way to boost a skill is to make it ignore def, that would be another trans-skill that makes def useless.

4) Totally.

About 3) I've thought about it too. How about spreading the damage but for every 2 targets? That way 4 targets would have 50% the damage. 6 targets 33% and so on.

If you dont make it def ignoring, it will keep hitting 10 dmg against players, and it won't be useful at all for leveling.


I'd also add a 5) increase the damage to 2000% total. and a 6) make the AoE hit enemies and allies alike
Keep both timers and make it behave like a real bomb, it should hit around 500 in woe with the best possible gear against full redu people, so it wont kill the balance, but at least you'll make it useful for leveling.

If you still think it's a powerufl skill, try it yourself and pvp a friend, see how laughable the damage is.

The problem with def ignoring is... I don't want to twist skills to make them ignore def so they become useful. If I do that, I would just go for trans characters and their unbalanced, def-bypass skills.

See that, I'm not against increasing the damage. I'm thinking about making it take % cards into account, but I'm not sure about it has any logic that a venom trap takes racial bonus into account.

Would be interesting for it behave like Marine Sphere's "Suicide Bombing". Some hp based formula, that goes boom and hurts people for decent damage if they don't run away from the AoE.

This skill is leet on its own ... it does provide a normal short range attack , you are using VS wrongly.

1. as it's a normal hit, it does work with crit which was confused with double for a long time, it can auto proc other skill from you ( like storm gust or , apply status effect and  they only way to apply sophro ranged.

2. It does work with banasphatdy ( inflict burning status to the target ) + carry poisonning effect ( Leech End ) + NTM curse 11x11 + Wikebine Strip Armor

3. It does combine with Blood Tears + 12 ( Bleeding 11x11 ) or Tooth Blade +12 ( Slow Cast 11x11 at 7% chance ) and will Ring of Flame Lord ...

4. Reloop recast... VS and Poison Spore from genetist are the only skill that allow collid bug bowling bash. Equipped with RFL, it does proc at 2% chance however... you might see the combo
crit EDP VS + EDP Bowling Bash, dealing a 12000% ATK 11x11 in WOE.

the damage is a joke because it scales off of ATK which assassins do not have much of in itself

i'm not sure about whether edp influences this attack or not but the solution for the original RO would be to up the atk% ratio and reduce the time you have to wait for it to explode
