Zeny-beast rogue

So here's the backstory to this build:

One of the first characters I ever made on Ragnarok was a rogue, and I stuck a tsurugi on him one day and thought, man, rogues using swords are about the coolest looking thing ever. But about 10 minutes into doing that, I was happily leveling in TF2 when a fellow rogue came up to me and said "Yo, uh, rogues don't use swords, you know." And as a new player in the world of Ragnarok, I took his advise, put my damascus back on, and never bothered with a sword again. Until this build.

The messed up stats:
STR: 40 ---> This build isn't about doing damage, it's about getting as many chances to gank as possible. Str is mostly for thief stages.
AGI: 90 ---> So the attack speed doesn't suck, and you flee most of the time. Zerked attack speed is 176, no other speed-increasing eq.
VIT: 20 ---> When you first start out, Vit is incredibly handy against low-level monsters. Did 20 vit at the beginning to speed up the lvl.
INT: 1 ---> A rogue that isn't copying storm gust. 'nuff said.
DEX: 70 ---> The focus of this build. We are ganking ALL THE TIME! 70 dex ensures we almost never miss, and steal a LOT.
LUK: 50 ---> Crits make up for the fact that our damage is super low. On high-def monsters, we're actually pretty useful. Otherwise, we're going to do an embarassing ~80 damage on most high level monsters. Crit gives us a healthier 275+.

Ok, so you've probably looked at this and decided, that's horrible! But when used PROPERLY, this is made of own.

The purpose of this build is to steal like crazy while other party members do the damaging. If I can get an extra few k zeny every monster, why would I not?

If you can't get a party and are forced to solo, slap on a bow, and you'll get some levels by yourself. But I did solo with my Double Critical Tsurugi pretty effectively.

For your amusement. :)

:D its all about messing up your first character :P

hell, first character i made was a mage with some pretty nifty melee power :P

i made a backstab rogue before the nerf that was pure vit str (little dex) cos backstab doesnt miss and you used to be able to spam backstab :D

the nerf made it not worth lvling on 1x rates :(( sad day

That's great and all, but it would still be better if you used a dagger. More aspd = more ganks...

Yeah, if I made it seriously, I'd definitely use a dagger, but the sword thing just looks damn cool. Aesthetics > functionality :)

I went with the LUK because I wanted to have the crits make up for no double attack, there's so many rogues that use a sword, slap a sidewinder in it and it's the same as using a dagger, but slower.

I've seen a few STR AGI wizards in my day. When crazy well-played, they can own junk up, but everyone automatically assumes they're nub, because who would put STR on a Wizard?
