LK questions

For a low rate server, BB build, not sure which weapons yet, I have a bunch of questions first:

1. Is curved blade useful at all?
2. giant whisper or ray in valk mant?
3. how useful would a ghostring armor be? If I had access to one, how would my build options change?
4. should I bother getting a medusa shield?
5. should I use bloodied shackle ball/shackles, or variant shoes?
6. what is the point of defense piercing on weapons like brocca and executioner when LKs have aura blade? Isn't the effect the same, that they ignore defense?
7. is pest card any useful?
8. is valkyrie armor much better than meteor plate? I'd be getting 20% more stun res, +1 stats and indestructible armor, but it costs 20 times more. I haven't pvped much so I don't know how useful that all is.

2. giant whisper is best IMO for offensive, more defensive types will take either aliot or, if the server has a lot of champs, raydric.
3. GR works only against few types of attacks-Asura, Sacrifice, AD. These all are extremely powerful but have fixed neutral element. As armor card is usually used for marc/ED to protect against freeze and stone curse, most used and annoying statuses at WoE, you have to be careful and switch armors around fast.

5. BSB combo is a "maniac" type LK. Works well if there are no profs around, as you gotta use shield and onehand weapon to prevent getting dispelled, as you'll have to rely on soullink giving 1hand quicken to achieve good aspd for BB. Be careful about choice.
6. Aura Blade ignores def only for that additional damage given by this skill, not your whole damage.
7. Fun for defensive char. Stuff up with defensive gear, decent aspd and status equip, and do some mess. That's actually probably best way to play LK as he hardly has potential to deliver killing damage.
8. Definitely valk, you need every stat point you can get.

What happens to my aspd when I use BSB so that I need to rely on soul link?

Well, the point is...if you play LK as offensive, it is possible, unless when playing server with pop over like 150, to go 2H swords and full offensive. That means you can use 2H quicken to get good aspd. And as you should know, ASPD affects your BB speed. High ASPD is needed if you want to play LK offensively. But with 2H swords you have to get those +20% hp from footgear, either by tidals+wool+10% hp footgear card, or variants. Without these, you are too squishy to use 2H swords as parrying works only against physical and is unreliable.
So you have to use shield. But ASPD with onehand sword and shield is too low for offensive without link.

I've decided to main a 1h sword and will swap to executioner whenever I see a good opportunity to do so. My question is: +10 triple bloody boned blade or +8 double bloody boned saber? I've tried to calculate it by adding up my total ATK in each case and multiplying it by 1.84 and 1.61 respectively but I don't know if that's the right calculation or not. My results showed that the saber would be better.
