Yeah. No more off-topicness, or I'll warn you.

Au contraire, I'll warn YOU!  And you're still off-topic!

Lord Knights rule.

well, 2-H knights arn't that bad, but since a lot of players like to spam skills one of the 2-H knight's defensive skills gets worked.  Auto-counter can  be a god-send if you use it in the right circumstance.  But any high Vit-pot-spamming LK with overloaded card resistances can live through a melee attacker.

But an LK can easily get up to 1k melee damage without frenzie, the main problem with going pure melee is that skill spam can out damage you.  Though in GvG the 40% skill damage reduction makes pure melee more appealing, 2-h quicken tends to get countered lots since cart termination is countered the same way.
Also, when going pure melee, it is wise to get some sort of armor pierce like crits or an executioner; however, crits on a knight are not easy to do unless your satisfied with getting 10% crit from 30 luk and the rest of your crit from cards to get up to about 30-50% crit.

Just to comment on parry, parry does give a 50% block chance while a thara would only give 30% damage resistance.  So i don't know if the dps that an LK receives is lower with parry or lower with a sheild +thara =\

the 50% block is kinda similar to 50% resistance... if your lucky =P
But since your playing a high rate i suspect that a LOT of players spam those really strong hits like EDP-linked-sonic blows.  Which kinda screws with the "50% block = 50% resistance" idea. =\

Hmm, chung e's a good card for crit based characters. :]

skill spam isn't the only problem a lk would face in pvp on a high rate... the larger problem would be the easily attainable p-dodge.

While depending on the max level and stat, this should still be a big problem on high rate. There's nothing more fun than being a character that is traditionally known for strength (lord knight, whitesmith, etc.), and being asked "duel duel!" by some n00b sinx, then watching them freak out because they can't hit you.

So again, the spear, for all the skills availible to it, melee is generally useless in a high rate pvp, unless a low max level.
