Paladin Skill Build
« on: Jun 18, 2009, 05:30 am »
This is for a 99/70 Devo Pally for a WoE build. My main role would be Battle Chant, Devotion, Pressure to annoy. Only problem with this is Battle Chant takes up alot of skill points. My build atm being...

BC 10, Guard 10, Devotion 4, Pressure 4, Peco Ride 1

The rest of the skills are just pre-req to get these skills. I would really like Pressure 5 Devotion 5 & a peco.

Anyone got any thoughts on this, my build is 99 dex 99 vit or close to that. Thinking rest into str/int.
And if possible could some one give me a good combination on how to do these skills.

VIT/DEX doesn't have to be 99, reducing them to 95-97 gives you alot of points which can be invested in something like weight/sp and you're gonna need a medium weight limit because you'll be potting ALOT.

I don't recommend lvl 5 pressure, 4 is more do-able especially when making a build with lvl 10 guard/lvl 10 BC.. you have to chip off skillpoints wherever you can, and I feel pressure is very situational. It's good vs wizzies/champs and whatnot, but most of the time you're busy supporting and keeping buffs up.

Lvl 10 guard isn't really a necessity imo, mainly because the difference between 9 and 10 is 1%? That's something you might want to reconsider. The delay for movement is a difference of 0.1, that's almost unnoticable.

It's up to you to find the balance for STR and INT, it's either more weight for pots or more SP.

Right now im actually leaning to get guard 9 for devo 5, i also find pressure 4 good enough but i would prefer 5 xD

As for dropping stats not too sure about this, i think my weight limit is decent enough to carry enough pots for a fair amount of time due to the +1000 weight from peco. and if i do get about 20 int thats a fair amount of sp to begin with and i can also carry a few blue pots or royal jellies if needed.

Yeah, paladin builds are lots of waging things off, it usually gets to the point that you find your own preference since every server is kind of different in some kind of way (people play different, WoE is a diff approach, people play different in PvP per server).

The 9 guard for 5 devo is a good payoff imo, 1% is a good trade for an extra 1 man and 15 more seconds.

Yea, i only got lev 4 first coz i thought you could sac 4 people and if you stuffed up you could sac some one else and it would cancel one, or maybe for lev 4 you can re-time it or something. Cant remember, been a while since ive played a pally.

I would like a higher reflect but i cant sacrifice other skills for it so oh well. Guess you get that when you are the only pally in guild xD

Do not sac more than 4 people in WoE if you have lv 5, because it allows you to spam recast sac on those 4 members, especially if the enemy has prof(s) spamming dispel on core characters you are devoting.

If not, disregard what I said.
XileRo is the only HR I know that has a reasonable PvP system. I did watch the RWC like you said, all I see is people spamming the room like every other gang fight there is in RO.
