Hey guys i'm at a crossroads as far as gear for an MR pally. The server i got Has That ASPD candy so at 99 agi with a lil dex, agi food, and box of gloom, HOTB, BG spear i can hit 190 aspd.

Now what i need to decide is whether or not to use the BG armor set(Assaulter Plate etc.) or not. Currently im using:
Over Upped Proxy Raydric
Variants
Valk armor with ED(And peco peco on swapped valk armor)

Now what i need to decide is whether or not to swap all those with BG set. I like the valk armor because of fact that its indestructable(lots of Creos   ).
BG set gets me roughly 25.6k hp as opposed to my 24.8k i currently got. As well as the 10% better healing with pots. Think the perks outweigh the use of Valk armor and the SP you get from proxy/variants?

Keep in mind Creos willing to FCP you in BG are sparse .

I would say to use the stuff you listed (not BG) for BG and the BG set for WoE. If you get a Chemist that is willing to FCP, I'd say you should swap to BG.

Another alternative is to have a bunch of different BG armors incase your stuff gets broken >_>;; Although I can't see that being very efficient;;

A question I have is... why are the creos willing to FCP you in BG are sparse while there are lots of creos? lol

Few reasons, They dont wanna waste their bottles, dont have any bottles, or a language barrier(philipino/BR)

Thanks for the reply btw i didnt wanna drop serious zeny on a +9 valk armor without being sure.

Also if i can get my hands on a +9 cross shield and 140 str would it be worth changing to shield chain build? From what i've gathered is id only be doing like 3.5k's on fully geared people:(

It all depends on your server. If the BG isn't too populated and you believe that it'd be more helpful to deal damage, then by all means, go for a Shield Chain build.

Otherwise, stick with Devo/Support Paladin. Your damage, depending on the server, may be easily outpotted; especially if there are other paladins on other team(s). There's also animation/cast to think about, although it may not be a problem with 190 aspd and a bragi, but still.

Well my main damage comes from Matyr's Reckoning. I can reach 190 aspd at about 2.6k dmg to fully geared players, and those i cant kill with it i got a wide variety of status weapons(quad sleep, quad confuse, double silence/curse),

I wouldnt mind shield chain it's just it will be real expensive so i wanna make sure its worth it first.

And ya BG isnt like 35 on 35 its more like 10-17 vs 10-17. So as a Pally with high aspd, decent dps, speed pots and high tanking im pretty useful on the offence.

If there is KVM there, change to that. Even if Diab set[with +hp cards] > KVM in terms of HP pool, it won't beat the power of being able to tank and kill with it[and the difference in terms of dmg isn't that big anyway].

Btw, Shield Chain with Cross Shield doesn't really need an high refine. If I'm not wrong, the increase is like 40 per refine or something around that and DPS talking, there isn't much different from Sacrifice[MR] to SC:
- MR is not ranged and has a tiny bit less dmg but compensates with more DPS.
- SC is ranged so it will get less dmg from horn/alligator/nox/etcrangedreductiongear but compensates with more damage per hit.
I would say that, if you're killing people fine with it, stick with it. If you want to change to something different, try it then.
