well i'm using a lord knight and wondering why there's a rumor in our server that one handed swords will be useless. What do they mean?

It is probably for reasons specific to your server.  1h LK is a typical WoE LK.
'effective now, ***** is butthurt because his server sucks without competent players to make things interesting'

Yeah, it's useless in 99/70 servers because you will have a low ASPD which makes you having hard time spamming Bowling Bash or Bash unless you have a Soul Linker. But in customized high level servers, LKs usually go 1H because you can equip a shield.
