Grandcross damage

Hi everyone, I searched before I posted. I did not come up with any results on anything I wanted to know about a GC crusader.

I wanted to mention I am on a 8/8/3 server at the moment. I have never made a crusader before. I have no idea how the skill grandcross works. server is NON renewal. *if that helps* and no 3rd classes.

Uhmmm.. I was wondering what stat builds are viable for solo GC mobbing or sometimes with a priest friend. I have no idea how stats should be, from what I know INT/VIT/DEX. Besides gears, what cards should I have and do weapons matter for grandcross? Obviously I will be leveling solo at alot of undead and shadow areas for the bonus damage.

As for gears I don't know what GC rely's on. I rely on INT gears correct? I feel kind of bad posting these questions, I just get lost searching around and I always end up doing my builds wrong because I get misled on information. I also don't understand the difference between renewal and pre-renewal servers.

Pre-Renewal:
GC dmg is +/- like SBK, depends on ATK and INT for dmg but is casted as a cross shape on the ground.

Don't forget that, during the execution of it, your shield is "striped" so during that time the extra dmg can hurt if you over-mob and the mob doesn't die fast.

And yeah, builds are pretty much INT/VIT/DEX but Dex and VIT doesn't necessary need to be on that order if you see that your cast is too slow and you can pot non-stop to backup the dmg you get from using it.


Renewal:
% gear should work with it now if it works like the other skills that are similar to it, never tried it tbh.
