So this is actually about my friend's computer and not mine. I'm trying to see if we can get some help from someone out there. I've tried to sit down with his comp and figure it out but to no success. In my opinion, it's not a usual problem....I've fixed many an RO problem in the past, but this is confusing, @__@. Here's the deal:

My friend and myself were playing RO the other evening and he gets a Gravity Handler Error. No big deal, right? Wrong. He hadn't changed anything on the Comp or RO folder. We tried patching just the server's patcher and it didn't do a thing. Also, mind you, the error would occur sometimes after character selection and other times after he'd play for 15 minutes. Well we both had downloaded the "Full Install" for this particular server and there was no separate kRO or kRO Sakray executable file so we were alittle confused on what to patch next. And so the hell begins:

-We downloaded (Fresh) a new kRO and kRO Sakray- Version 12/10/08, put them all in the same folder, patched them up, and tried just installing the server patch (vs. a server full install), but still the error.
-We tried to remove the Data folder, still the error.
-I put my whole RO folder on a flash drive, transferred it to him. He tried running it and he still got the error, not I. Now theoretically this makes no sense to me, because this should work...same path, no varying falls. Anyways, he still errored.
-Unsure of what else to do, we downloaded and installed a new server. Tried both the "Full Installs" for it and kRO & kRO Sakray with the specific server Patch, just as before, and still the error. We followed this same model for 3 more servers and still the same error, at varying times.
-Tried a Full System restore on the comp, to a previous day that the game had worked and upon another try, the error.
-He tried restoring the comp to regular factory settings, just to see, downloaded and installed fresh, still the error.

Just to re-iterate, we've tried multiple servers, both full installs and kRO w/ specific server patch, combos. We never cross-installed servers or anything...every attempt was started fresh and patched to the full extent. We don't know what to do, =/.

Last note: I do not think this would have to do with anything but he is playing from a Mac. He has BootCamp working and is running Windows off of a partition. I don't think this would be a problem, just because he played for months with it working and then all of a sudden, BAM.

Don't wishing to be Sherlock Holmes or Captain Obvious, but it does sound something related with his computer, or something with the Ragnarok Configuration Setup, but configuration errors happen instantly, which isn't the case. Now I'm wondering if it is either his computer or... Wait, I think I recall that error, mine was solved through patching after I modified and removed other server files, It must not be computer either, so I'm out of guesses.

Can you get a pen drive or something and send your files to his computer? Might as well be something you had installed on your computer and have forgot to install on his, just try it to see if it works. If it doesn't, well, ask eAthena! They are the ones who can read (?) the Gravity Errors.

I would look into the setup.exe, might find something there. Tell him to turn the sound off, if it happens a few minutes after starting the game it could maybe be about a certain sound, although I doubt it it's worth a shot. He should check his graphic option too, is he playing full or window mode?
