I got spammed three times by this gmesh dude telling people to play at Sienna RO or w/e.

Annoying.

Not quite, it turns out he sent 70 private messages all of the same content. But why would he send 3 of them to you?

They should be now all gone from your mail box if you haven't clear them.

His account is now permanently banned.

You can go to Profile -> Personal Message Options

and put people in your ignore list.

Related topic, is there a way to block or ignore posts or threads made by certain people on this forum? I know some other forum software allow it, but I haven't been able to find a similar function on this forum and putting members on your ignore list only works if they PM you. =/

That would be a no. You'll have to screen them with your eyes unfortunately. We also rely on people to report posts that are in violation
