Is there a way to default all searches to renewal?

Whenever I want to do a item or monster search from RMS home, it starts out as pre-renewal, but I only wanna search renewal. So every search I do, I have to click renewal and then when I wanna do a new search again, I have to do the same thing.

I figured out that if you put in the URL re_ at certain points it will work, but there really should be an option (like under site settings) to default as renewal as the search option.

Triper

Then why post at general discussion and not suggest it at the suggestion section?

Because if it's already possible, then it does not need to be a suggestion. /swt

This still falls into suggestion so I'll move it here.

I know what you mean.  Initially I was thinking to have radio buttons or check box to have it selectable on the quick search bar but as you can see there's no space for it.  It'd be more convenience that way without to go to setting to change back and forth.  But I am still thinking where can i put it or something else that is equally convenience.

Well ANY option any where would be very helpful and much appreciated. In setting might not be so obvious, but at least there for until you figure out what is better. Also, couldn't you do the "forever" option in the site settings so as not to have to change it every time, kinda like the drop rate settings.

Well I just added the option in "Rate Settings" (http://ratemyserver.net/set_rates.php), I find it more appropriate to go with the rate display options.  You'll see the text change to "Re-Item" and "Re-Mob" (not enough space for Re-Monster in that little box) when it is searching renewal.  I'll put the "forever" option aside for a while then.

Thanks very much for adding this option.

But, there seems to be a few bugs with it:

1) If you click on item database to the left instead of doing a quick search in re-item, then it will use the pre-renewal system, even if I saved as default as renewal, for example cases where I want to search all slotted armors under renewal.

2) If you do use even quick re-item search for say, Raggler card which tells you that the card is part of a set, there is no link for the set. However if you go to pre-renewal, there is a link.

Not sure which "left" you mean.  The "Re-Item" link you see just right beside the quick search box for item goes to the re item search form.

If you mean the links inside the "Database" menu those are not affected by the setting options, they are static because the renewal database links are just right below them.  I don't want menu links to be able to switch around.

The combo info/page for renewal items are not implemented yet on the site.  For existing combos you will have to reference back to the pre-renewal version to see the chain of items.  Forgot why I left it out, maybe there weren't any renewal only combo to get it start.

LOL! I didn't even notice those! >_<! Sorry. I guess I was so used to using and clicking on Item Search for so many years, I never thought to look down the menu a bit.

Yes, I have been going back to pre-renewal version to see the whole list on 1 page. It isn't that big of a deal, but it would be nice if eventually it worked in renewal setup as well.

Thanks again~
