PK Classification for Searches
« on: Nov 05, 2007, 04:32 pm »
I'm having a lot of trouble finding a high rate PK server... mainly any kind of PK server.
If i could find one without having to read through 20 reviews per server that'd be really helpful.

So in your search option if you could make a PK option or even a place on servers to label them as PK that'd really be awesome.
Maybe PK is  newer thing and I'm unaware of that... but it seems silly to not have that option in the server searcher.

I love PK servers...
Yeah I haven't found one either.

I used to play Ceres RO until it shut down, (it was a 2k/2k PK server)

Try looking around the high rate section, or look in the Recruitment forums or Advertisement forums.

Hope I helped

so what is considered a PK server?  one that you can kill anyone on any map?

Sorry I got mixed answers in mind, better ask for clarification.

Well, PK server means that you are able to kill people in maps freely without asking to duel.

They normally make towns PK free places though.

well, theres 3 types of servers if you classify it that way. PvP servers, PK servers, and non-PvP servers.

PvP server - A server with no PvP on normal maps, but makes a room for PvP. Quite a few of these servers have malls that sell basically everything other then cards as the server is completely revolving around PvPing, and then have card drop rates high. (20 - 50% for normal cards, 1 - 5% for MVP cards. some also have 100% drop rates for everything.)

PK server - A server where you can kill anybody, anywhere whenever you want, other then in towns. theres also some servers that do half of the week PK on, and the other half PK off. most PK servers also have a PvP room just for those players that arent dicks who like to kill people while they level, as thats extremely annoying. Most PK servers have malls, although usually not as large as a PvP server. just the basics for leveling your character, and they usually have average card rates. (5 - 20% for normal cards, 0.5 - 2% for MVP cards.)

Non-PvP server - A server where you can't kill anyone anywhere, and they have no PvP rooms. The only way you can fight is with @duel, IF they have it, or in WoE.Non-PvP servers usually dont have malls, and if they do its just 1 or 2 npcs for potions, skill requirements (ninja stones, poison bottle etc.), and maybe a couple armors or weapons, usually not too strong. Most non-PvP servers are low - lowish-mid rate, so cards are low. (1 - 5% for normal cards, 0.1 - 1% for MVP cards.)

Personally i like PvP servers. i dont like the idea of getting PKed 100 times while leveling yourself, or the idea of never being able to fight unless your on at an exact time for WoE. These card drop rate examples wont always be right, theyre just a rough assumption from the servers ive played.

Basically, until they make an option for choosing PK/PvP/non-PvP servers, just look at the rates. low rates are usually non-PvP or PvP, mid-rates are usually PvP or PK (probably the half and half type), and high rates are usually PvP or full PK. Also, look at the features. if it says it has a PvP room, there you go. its either PvP or PK. if it doesnt, who knows. and if you dont want to download the patch? use the "contact us" button if they have it, or ask on the forums before you try the server. And by the way, if you want a server with 100% drop rates for everything just do "drop exp over 9999" 10k drop rates are 100% everything. but some servers change mvp card drops to lower rates.
