So as I said back in the Christmas announcement, the re-database isn't getting much use compare to the pre-re database for some reason.  After some thinking, I made this quick search result page that will display result from both re and pre-re on a single search:

page: http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=item_search_quick

Here are some sample searches for "wand" or "gold":

http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?iname=wand&page=item_search_quick
http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?iname=gold&page=item_search_quick

Originally, I plan to make it the default search result page when using the quick search bar searches.  It's purpose is to show the result for both re and pre-re when using the quick search bar's search box.  Rather than using the rate setting options to change the search boxes to pre or pre-re which I figure not many people bother to do.

But for it to be quick, neat and simple I see it's kind of lacking a lot of information compare to the current "show all item all detail" style just not from both databases.  It might prove to be more of a hassle to click on each item left and right.  So I stopped here thinking people might not like it and it would be bad if I just force it into people.  Of course I have the plan to implement the option to change it back (right now the option is not there yet because this isn't released), but as with the change to re function I can't count on people to use it.

Anyway, so any opinion on this vs the current quick search?  It's equally possible to make a mob search version of it just not sure which one is preferred.

Well if I end up not forcing the change, the mixed search page will become a secret to those of us in this topic.

Great, no attention.  So scratch that I got a new idea that's better.  Forget the opinion thing lol.  But if that could be useful to some people I might include it as a link somewhere hmm.

Just implement it imo People will just get used to it and love it later and share their feelings  /lv

No hmm, I did something else.  You might want to refresh for best result (on the site).

Thats a great addition for search results. I like how it skips the dizzying stats and click on the ones your really interested in. Another function I would like to see is:

1. items that drop at a certain percent
2. items that sell for a price range 1000-2000 npc wise
3. tell us how to acquire the items if its part of quest, forge etc. (I know you've answer is manual for everything but that really helps us a lot/ Some have the links others don't)
4. when looking for a vendor it helps you get to the main map and not the _in because it can get confusing which part of the map they're located like this one: http://ratemyserver.net/nsw_shop_search.php?shopsearch=item_id&i_id=657
5. related to 4, dots for all portals in the map

I know its a bit too much to ask but were grateful for everything RMS has to offer /no1

You mean this page or the renewal checkbox now now the site?

Well yea some of your requests are pretty specific and I my list of work-to-do usually give priority to features that will benefit the most people.

3.  Answered many times already as you already noticed.  I'll think of something .. maybe.
4.  Those are not manual as oppose to 3, those are parsed from the npc locations so it has to show exactly where it is.  I know most people realize they can click on the portal to see where is it "outside" 90% exclude those that takes a few _in warps to get to.
5.  If there's too many warp tags that blocks the map, there are "clear all" functions under the map.  To show a single one you can always use the right tab for example under warp tab mouseover each warp to show and single click the link to make it stays.

Thanks for your input.
