To be truthful, only around 2 reviewers in that Frenzi thread are part of the Frenzi staff who do have their own servers hosted by the company. Those are probably not counted as good reviews, but the other reviews are pretty legit. Sorry for saying this, but I do think the main problem was EternityHost. Seriously, not refunding anyone by blaming Paypal (using Paypal as an excuse for not refunding at all. It's not that they CAN'T refund, it's that they DON'T WANT TO refund). Ridiculous really... and to have their company shut down after a month or so? I just feel sorry for those who ordered like a year's worth of hosting service.

But anyways, that's a bit off-topic (just wanted to make it clear really). I would still say that the paid section we have now is fine enough for our purposes. The new and improved rules are pretty good as well, but I still think some more can be added. The moderators have it tough enough to deal with one section, so no extra hosting section should be made.

 Eternity hosting company went down due to bad customer service + No money back guarntee on bad service that made it down Frenzi hosting company has good customer base with satisfied customers @yukino Moderators would have pretty much tough time to indentify legit and the scams its truly on their customers response how  they can keep their customer happy A poll might be good i think so?

I think the new rules are tyrannic. Instead of affecting the only part that was having an issue (the hosting), youve added new rules to punish everyone else that wasnt breaking the rules at all. I had hopes of adding a bunch of stuff to the paid services in the future, but now i cant. Why? Because they are all pre-made scripts/code and that is no longer allowed.

The graphic artists are allowed a pass but other hard-working coders and scripters are not. For shame. I would like to know why this happened, to exclude us along with the issue of the hosters and not all of us or for that matter...why not just the hosters? They were the ones that caused all this according to various posts in this thread. Hoping to get some good responses but I really doubt it.

@Erebus I really feel for you Scriptors and coders according to me really work hard for the server developments and bringing out new scripts but its sad that there is no way to patent or authorise a script maker

I guess it's to avoid selling other people's works if they are "pre-made" and such since it would take extra effort for moderators to find out if the script was truly made by the thread starter or someone else from eAthena/elsewhere. They would get complaints if players got cheated off or something. But yeah, I thought there would be more rules regarding hosting services, so I thought more should be added. As for the scripting, I don't mind if those certain rules are gone since some pre-made scripts are truly by the actual creators as seen in the Paid Section.

Modification of existing script is rampant it would be really hectic job for moderators to know the genuinity of the script and its makers

What Yukino said. Unlike graphics, we cannot control pre-made scripts. We cannot see if you're selling other person's work, or if the pre-made script was made by you. However, I do think that Hosting Services should be a lot more controlled than they are with the new set of rules. Those are the only services that have caused us trouble in a long time, yet rules barely affect them =/

Well a survey should be conducted on the hosting services in RMS paid sections and will come to know which company is good and trusted by the customers...And in paid sections all the verified Paid services should be sticked or should be sent into a Verified Paid Section so all these topics would be trusted and no scammers this way can make a lot of difference to the Paid Section...

Anyway, getting back to my original suggestion. The intent was to review hosting outside of RO specific hosters, so they wouldn't have topics in the paid services section xD But review in off topic sounds good enough to me :]

I just didn't want people to go through what I did with a few previous hosters I'd been with, outside of the RO community.

We are not a professional hosting forum, with our handful of hosting users it could easily mislead those that are basing their decision on what is said here only.  For any hosting company look up I would go to WHT.  There have a lot more hosting users and would give a better picture of which company should be trusted.

For the paid service section, it would be impossible to guarantee the service is good before letting them advertise it.  I mean I remember those two hostings that were recently removed from the section used to be good and respectable until they turned bad.  I could only suggest the usual saying "buyer be aware" and watch out for complain posts made in the thread.

Service providers or anyone shouldn't assume that RMS don't care what is posted in the paid section obviously.  We have the right to and we will step in whenever we see something is fishie going on. 

Although I admit with the case of this BMar it was too late and it damaged some servers.  Even upon asking him to give reasonable refunds and open up his server so his customers can get backups he went totally idiotic and said "Just wondering, why do you care?" + "Were you a client of mine?".  Now this is terrible, this company owner used to be nice and helpful in his thread.  He suddenly changed his face and decided to scam everyone then run away. 

I could only explain that could be because the cut throat price war on RO hostings are driving these companies to lose money.  So he might as well turn it into a scam to make a profit while he can.  So what I wanna say?  Oh yea .. it's hard for anyone to tell the good apple from the bad ones if it is well hidden.  Unfortunately survey, free-trial or review can only do so much.

According to my experience  i think customer satisfaction which in turns results in larger customer base

If a Hosting provider is selling RO hosting Services at cheaper price possibly he need to have wider hosting products,He cannot only depend on only RO service ,RO service can be on of his sub lime product As of now i can see many hosting service providers start this business concentrating only on RO services and its related products as a main product They need to diverge their attentions if they are looking to expand as YC send this is not hosting Discussion Forum So it better to find best and mature hosting company visit above link or try to find good apples from the bad from here:)
