Alcoholic's Anonymous-based Hall of Shame Meetings

Whether weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly, I think it would be great for us former Hall of Shame Admins/GMs to gather, and commit to a corrupt-free tenure-ship at <insert server name>RO.

I doubt this idea would work on a weekly basis.  Monthly though, possibly.

There's two things though that could possibly prevent this idea from working;

• I'm not too sure if many others in the HoS are active on RMS these days, let alone still running/GM'ing on a server.
• Unfortunately, not many of them have been as open as you have in regards to their past mistakes.  They may not wish to attend such a meeting.

Overall an interesting idea.  Could you possibly explain in a bit more detail about how these meetings would work?  Like.. what would happen exactly in these meetings? (admit & discuss past mistakes? pledge to keep corrupt-free? ..etc)

I don't get it. Why not just start up a topic all on your own and wait for the others to join? No need for special permissions or a separate area, etc. / whatever.

Could be a way to redeem oneself and one's reputation, but it could also turn into a big joke-fest that undermines the validity of the HoS to begin with.

But like I said, just post, and they shall come. Maybe.

Hello all!

Thanks for the feedback on the suggestion. Everyone in this topic has made their point whether it is sarcastically driven or not.

Yusifer: I'd appreciate it if you didn't troll threads I create. I am well aware that you don't like me, but you don't need to degrade my threads to get your point across. However, I'm flattered that you persist to involve yourself in all things Cookie by piping in negatively in every which way possible.

Xarale: You made good points.

This thread was kind of made just to see what kind of feedback I'd receive in terms of the idea. I was bored one day. Of course the name of the thread was obviously rather a play on words. Also, I apologize for my lack of responding to this quickly. I recently acquired a position as Director of Development for a new company, and I've been increasingly busy identifying current issues, staffing, and the latter. It's been a busy month for me.

Don't flatter yourself. This could've been Tearbleu (with whom I've never had contact) and I've had said the same thing: there's no point asking permission to dramatize (again) your and other HoS administrators' errors. Just make a thread and do what you gotta do; no need to advertise in an effort to glamorize. Everyone knows your HoS for good reasons. Don't those report threads about you and your server that sprout up every now and then feed your lust for attention enough already? But I guess it's free publicity; do what you want lol Internet World looks different looking from the outside-in, y'know, when you realize that none of this matters and you move on to more important things. I don't value immaterial concepts, though, like status on the Internetz lol

I don't know who Tearbleu is and don't care. Don't bother replying with a novel about this person and unless you have anything really relevant to contribute, please don't reply at all. I'm not flattered, nor really have any interest in anything related to you. I simply asked you to not troll threads with irrelevant videos and made a point of bringing up your keen interest in me. Oddly enough, your post seems rather defensive. In terms of what you "value", doesn't really matter and I don't see why you're writing a novel about yourself and your misconstrued perception of me. I didn't ask for a shrink.
