A weird suggestion.

Well, if we do have a "GM hall of shame", can't we have "Player hall of shame"? Ofcourse, to be eligible of the list there must be a specific player infractions rules so that other server must be aware of these players.

I know it's a weird suggestion, but it'll be cool to have this.

The GM hall of shame is there because we have a recruitment section for GM's. Also they are directly linked to a server as they do work for it making it an effective tool..
Players have nothing to do with that and the list would be WAY too tedious to maintain.

You also have player recruitment section...  It would be nice to have warning if you were getting a player that is truly a problem. However, it would be near impossible to maintain, to track the players and show who they really are, to bad it could save the owners/staff of the private servers many headaches!

Do you know how many people play RO? Thousands. Do you know how many people are banned / punished everyday? We would have to add at least 10 entries per day (since that's the amount of players that'd be actually reported here, although probably hundreds are banned each day). And that'd be way too much work.

Players can disappear easily. Just change your IGN & e-mail, problem solved. As a GM, you could be tracked because of the servers you have worked on before, or maybe because of your skills. But as a player, there's not much people can say about you.

Besides, if players see a cool IGN, they'll copy it on another server. What happens if they copy the IGN of a HoS'd player?

Too much trouble, too easy to avoid. Not a good idea, in my opinion. Sorry.

EDIT: Btw, it won't be maintained with player's name, maybe with enough evidence: Emails, E-mail address, & maccdresses will be provided to server gms, but yes, privacy will be violated... Well, such not a good idea after all if we couldn't really maintain it well.

I know, it's a heavy thing to maintain. But yeah, it's been bugging me for days to suggest it here. Since, I've encountered millions of trolls on every forum I moderate and it's kinda sucky, and I want the RO world to see who violates who (Not just on the Forums, but also In-game). Yep, we are not mentioning e-mail and or other personal details. The odds that a player has the same name on a different server is way higher than a GM. Also, the GM hall of shame list usually leads to the 'real' person if you want to dig deep since that gm is connected to the server in a sense that the server knows who they are (including e-mail, name etc). So .. in that sense the gm hall of shame list serves it's purpose as long as recruiters search for what they want to know. Logically, this becomes exceedingly more difficult with player names.. and couple that with the fact that how hard a player hall of shame list is to maintain.

Most of the server actually dont turn on their email verfication system so most of the email id would fake
