A RO PServer Guilds Association Forum?

It just got to my idea that some servers have a hard time recruiting members since RO IS a dying game, and well, this idea is probably outside of RMS.

I was thinking of making a guild community forums for all the RO guilds out there where they can recruit and post their guild banners as well as their servers that they are playing. Advertisements will be filtered out and will not be accommodated. Possibly a place to host guild videos as well.

The problem is, I suck at forums or anything related to it, so this is just basically an idea. Would anyone be up making one and making it as big as RMS? We can be an affiliate of sorts.

A recruitment video is essentially an advertisement of the server they represent because of all they offer that the particular guild likes and plays there. For a guild to recruit players from RMS or anywhere else, they would have to post the server information for players to see if its a good fit for their own play style, in essence, another advertisement. Word of mouth that players use is another form of advertisement.

Not trying to shoot down your idea, just I dont see how you could accomplish it without a guild giving details about the server they play on and keeping every single amount of advertising out of it.

Well, there's no problem with that. It's basically just a guild association's forum and straight out advertising the server would be very obvious and all submissions would always be reviewed by the staff as far as I can think of.

Of course server info would be placed, but straight out advertising the rates without any proof that your guild does play there would be very obvious.

That's why I stated it would be out of RMS and new rules, diff. website and a different style of forums would be done.

It's not that hard to recruit, you won't need RMS for it.

It's a showcase of guilds as well. Just my 2 cents imo.

There are way too much private servers & guilds to show them all off.

Well, if that was it then so be it if there are way too many guilds. Those who wanted to join, let them join up right? We do not need to get every living guild out there, just like RMS, it doesn't have all servers on their list, but at least they got a lot and is known for them right?

It would be a really cool project and I'm willing to pitch in ideas really. :\

Just wanted to do an RMS-esque, eA-esque style community.

Just my opinion, but I don't really see a point in this. Usually when a player finds a server they enjoy, and play it, then they start looking around that server for a guild. Since most servers have like 37845678345834 guilds to choose from. Or in some cases, they make their own. I don't really see much sense in doing that the opposite way (Finding a guild, then a server).

Not trying to bash your idea or anything, I'm merely stating my own opinion on this.
