I've decided to play RO again with a few friends, but all the servers we used to like no longer exist.
And those that we do recognize, we do not want to play in.

We're specifically looking for Midrate or Highrate server.
We want a not too grindy feel to it, as we intend to play for the fun and not to no-life it.\

Heya!

You didn't mention whether you were looking for renewal or pre-renewal. Leika-RO is renewal, and it's 15/15/10. By Renewal standards, that's midrate. You can level pretty fast doing nothing but quests, which also removes most of the grindy aspect since you have a constant goal.

Leika's the most up-to-date Renewal server you'll find, with renewal mechanics fixed up where the official servers dropped the ball on balance and actually giving players a challenge. Half the fun of Leika is in needing a party, which will be perfect for you and your friends if you all come. There's also lots of guilds looking for players who would like to MVP or WoE with them if that's your cup of tea. :3 Our community is a mix of ridiculously friendly and hardcore trolltastic, but just about every single one is helpful and talkative. It's DEFINITELY a server for people who are focused on the fun part of RO.

aww! Thanks. c: Is there anything I could do to convince you to give Renewal a try? I know a lot of people are kinda hesitant to play it, but I think Leika's done a pretty good job of addressing a lot of the issues that come with Renewal mechanics breaking the game like it does in other servers. If not it's cool. Thanks for the response anyway and have an awesome day.

Just to add another to your list, Once RO

We're a pre-renewal mid rate, 50x 50x 20x.
We've nerfed prices of some drops...
and only enabled level 1 dungeons, all field levels excluding the MvP maps..
So it's less spoon-feeding, if that's what you like.
We still have ongoing parties, so thats fun
Meeting new people and socialising, there are also a lot of guilds.
(We haven't yet started WoE as we recently launched on Feb 20th.)

We're a high-rate (200/160/100x) based around PvP and MvP competition. Card drop and higher gear(Valk set, etc) are 0.75%, so that's about the only 'grindy' aspect of our server. Beyond that, it's fairly simple to get to the max level of 255/99 in a day or two. We opened in December, and our main staple is fast-paced, balanced PvP with no monstrous amounts of damage to OHKO each other.

Countless custom quests, Legendary weapons designed to augment each classes' abilities and strengths, MvP summoning room, Thanatos on Endless tower, Woe 1.0 and 2.0, English-speaking and professional GM staff with many years of RO experience and a willingness to help those new to the server(I've been giving PvP lessons and gear advice on request.)

Fairly small community just yet, as we only recently started advertising. New content is slated to get added almost weekly, as well as upon request.

Hello, AeonRO is a mid/low rate server (Base 30x / Job 30x / Drops 20x) recently open.
Our community is probably one of the most welcoming and fun to chat with (I am not telling this just because I am inviting you to the server, but mostly because in my previous experience I've never met such a free of trolls and catfights community XD and I am quite impressed)

If you are looking for a server to start again with, AeonRO is the server you are looking for, for many reasons

- I am not sure about the rates requirements you'd prefer, anyway our low/mid rates are the result of a good combination between balance and smooth game play. BUT no worries, if the rates seem too low for you, we have custom repeatable quests to help the players willing to level up faster! Moreover, an upcoming maintenance will implement a better Newbie pack

- Currently we are holding an Easter Event, ongoing till the 12 of April. During the event some quest hats will give you some extra stats and a slight increase in drop rates

- Beside the cute/kawaii and sometimes necessary implements of hats, AeonRO is the most balanced server around. From PvP to PvM Mechanics are meant to keep the server and its economy stable, our adjustments in balance (i.e BG Universal materials prices meant to not be easy-to-get and "infinite", MvP cards drop, Buffer costs, Coin system...) are not fake and will provide the players the true perception of a server meant to last.

- Alongside with the balance adjustments we have some extra features for some extra challenge, for example we have recently implemented an instance dungeon and a custom dungeon, we have recently added some hat quests, GMs are active everyday to cover every timezone and easily to contact on forums.

- Donations items are obtainable in game via BG and Quests

this is high rate server with middle rate level.

base level is 150 and job level is 60
have a 3rd job, rebellion, homunculus S, kagerou /oborou, and new 3rd job skills  (full throtle,no limit, db water, etc)

you might want to try Intense RO
i was a player there since 2010
it's a renewal server BUT :
- if you're not proceeding to 3rd job classes (you only stay at 2nd transcendent classes), it's ALL PRE-RENEWAL JOB SYSTEM for you (like cast time calculation etc)

- however even for 3rd jobs, you get the RENEWAL SKILL SYSTEM only for 3rd job skills, but still PRE RENEWAL STATUS SYSTEM (like bonus atk for every 10 points of str/dex, luk only increase prefect dodge and crit) and  still PRE RENEWAL for your 2nd trans SKILL

this might give you some thinking that it'll be weird, but once you try, you'll find out that it's balanced

and it has separated 2nd trans and 3rd job woe / pvp rooms, i've been playing 2nd trans woe or baby woe (lol baby woe, it's cute), and between nonmvp and mvp woe / pvp rooms (competition have been FAIR for everyone)

no overpowered donation items (donation headgears' effect is only +2 all stat or 2% damage reduction from demi-human, just around these lol), so i'm as a non donator can still compete with the donator players

has custom safe upgrade limit up to +7 (yay)
it has NPCs that sold skill catalyst items, but not too spoonfeeding:
- gears like buckler[1], helm[1], muffler[1], shoes[1] are sold at NPCs if you want better gears you have to hunt down from monster drops (drop rate is great so mostly players can get
- genetic bombs are not sold by NPC, but the items to create bombs are sold at NPC
- some EDP ingredients are sold by NPC but you got to hunt few (100% drop rates though)
- AD bombs can be farmed at moc_fild11 (dropped by pickys at 25% or dropped by thief bug at culvert sewers)

right now the players are not too many, but i'm trying to get peoples into this server as its been GREAT even when it was only at 200-300 players peak (have reached 2200+ players, but now around 40-100, because peoples are leaving due to work or have a family, haha) -excluding autovends of course

other things you can find out after trying :p
