I would say that there's around 20 active players on the server as of today. I have seen a few new people, a new guild, around, so perhaps that may change (hopefully!). The server isn't new (March 2013 I think), but it's stable and the GM/DEV team are still active. I feel the only thing we're missing is players! :c

PureRO runs with 8/8/5 rates. 1x for MVPs. Ontop of this, when you go through the training grounds, you are given 10 free 50% Battle Manuals to help you a bit.

Never had any issues with the GM/DEV team. They seem to know what they are doing, and I'm usually picky about that.

The donations are purely cosmetic, and as far as I know, there are no customs.

Some additional features I'd like to highlight:
Ancient War of Emperium
A WOE where reborn/transcendent/expanded classes are restricted. And on top of this, items past Episode 9 are also restricted! A real retro WOE . :]
One Control Panel account for multiple game accounts
PureRO allowed multiclienting. It also gives you a nice overview of all your game accounts if you choose to have more than one. One login on the CP, and you see all your game accounts listed. :]

I'd recommend you to try a low-rate server called Ragnarok Frontier. RF has a welcoming community, professional GMS, and no game breaking items. It is a server that runs on AEGIS, and has been up for 10 years! It had a wipe a while ago due to players' votes.
