Title: Looking for a renewal server.
Post by: Yozakura on Jun 12, 2015, 02:48 AM
Thanks to all who responded, I'm currently settled on NovaRO.

Spoiler
So after about a year off RO, I'm bored and need something to waste time on again.

Here's what I'm looking for.

» The server must be in fully-updated renewal.
» Low to low-mid rates, by RMS standards.
» Minimal customizations, if any.
» Active administration team who knows their thing.
» Utilities in remote towns, so I'm not forced to interact with people.
» No obnoxious custom wings, tails, bloodyjesuswtfisthat headgear.
» No pay2win.
» A population of over 50 players. Doesn't matter to me half of them are vendors, as long as there's some actual community so the server doesn't end up closing in two weeks.
» Soloing is viable, not nerfed to death that you're literally forced to party from the very basics.

And some optional juice. Not necessary, but would be nice.

» No stat/skill resets, or limited and/or very expensive.
» No card remover, or limited and/or very expensive.
» Costume maker that can turn regular headgear into costumes for a price.

Do not list the following servers:
» LeikaRO - I played on this one for a while, and I like it a lot, but the antisocial jerk I am, it kinda agonizes me to no end that I'm pretty much required to party to get anywhere. I'll probably end up staying here if this desperate search doesn't turn up anything though...
» Any Pinoy, Malay, Brazil or whatever server where 90% of the community doesn't speak English.
» Any server that does not fit the requirements, obviously. My requirements aren't negotiable.

That's it for now. This post may be updated with various random stuff in the future, if necessary.

Interesting requirements. I'd like to promote my server but unfortunately, we have custom dungeons.

I hope you find a good server though.

I played Woon Renewal for a bit, and aside from the customizations, the rates were a little too high for me. But yeah, thanks anyways. :]

May I recommend you take a look at NovaRO ? As it fits most, if not all of your criterias (Only thing it doesn't is the first two points you mentionned as optionnal)

Nova is a nice place and the owner (Called Nova aswell) has implemented some of the latest updates of kRO, and currently working on another 2

Thank you. Adding NovaRO to my checklist.

Not really bashing NovaRO or anything but, the 'antisocial jerk' as you are, it'd probably be best to stay at Leika. It's hard as hell leveling at NovaRO by solo. Left the server because of that.

Been looking for a decent Lowrate/Midrate Renewal as well for the past 2 months. Lel

Though Fyrus has already mentioned us, I'd also like to personally invite you to play with us on NovaRO. :]

Yep, I just downloaded your client. I'll probably pop up some time today, when I feel like it.

See you there then. :]

(Not enough words? Why's there a word requirement in here anyway.)

Hi Vana, this is Cleo. I'm currently playing NovaRO. You might be least interested to this fast paced leveling server but as far as I can tell, this is the best renewal server around RMS. Well then, I'll see you in game (if you ever decided to play). :)

I'm still open for recommendations if there are anything else.

You seem to know me, but I sorta can't recall who you are, but I'm checking NovaRO anyways.

Hi,
I saw your were looking for a renewal server.
I could recommend LimitRO - population around 500 at peak on weekends.
You could visit the site for more info if you find it more interesting.

If you have friends etc, you could always add this guy http://facebook.com/limitrolai (http://facebook.com/limitrolai) -- he could always help out with live support!
Website http://www.limit-ro.net (http://www.limit-ro.net)

This is a quote from their admin:
Quote
Greetings! Right now, you are looking at the most boring welcome message in RO server history ever........
Why are you keep reading? Reading this won't make you go any further, all information you will get will be that...

LimitRO was launched 2009, we are a 100x100x25x private Ragnarok Online server, which means everyone can join and play totally free.
We have all jobs available out there, and we are mostly up to date to official episode 14.3
Our mission is to be close as official to kRO as possible, no custom big s*** wings, or eye killing blazing effects...and not too lazy players.
In here, we want smooth, nice, fresh, united, good RO looking. A community that most likely will make your day better <3.
If you think, you can be one of Limitronians, then do not hesitate to Register - Download and Login <3 See you ingame!

*sigh*

Some people obviously can't read.

LimitRO has the same experience rates as Woon Renewal. If you actually put your reading skills to use, you would see that I mentioned that is a bit too high for me.

And lastly, this is annoying.

Really? My apologies for being a sociopath then?

Anyways.

Please keep all further responses in the thread. If your server meets the listed requirements, you should have no reason to keep it private.

I want this too, but five years of browsing RMS  - five years - and nothing to show for. It's not happening.

Six, actually. It's already 2015, Deacon. You're lagging a year behind.
