As this is my first full review and the first time I am posting on the Rate My Server forums, please bear with me.
On SpookyRO, I would say, as a Game Master and as a Player, others are just plain mean, they will never leave you alone, inside and outside of PvP. One of the rules is "Do not fight in main town", the Admin just saw two people dueling in the main town and did absolutely nothing about it, he even accepted the duel from one player. With the removal of the Reborn system, Event Coins, which is the only way to get the clearly unbalanced God Items, were harder to get, especially with only three GMs(1 Inactive, 2 Semi-Active). One of the custom items(actually an entire set of custom items) had AWFUL effects, adding on to that, if you ask the players that have done the quest for those custom items say they've just wasted atleast 3 hours. Two of the effects being 10% Resist to Water and +100 to ALL Stats(INCLUDING VIT). Items has unusual and unneeded nerfings/removals, for example, before the update, resist cards on garments used to only give about 15% resist to an element and resist cards on headgears used to give 7% resist to an element. With the complications of the Angra Manyu and Ahura Mazdah, the owner just can't admit that there is no way to fix it, the implention of them caused a HUGE imbalance. Once, when there was a bug, the owner did NOTHING, he did fix the NPC, but literally all players that abused the bug STILL kept their items. I know for one that the Admin has NEVER been in PvP, I'm pretty sure he doesn't know what needs to be nerfed. Another thing, there is a complete lack of communication, the only way to know why the server is down and when the server is going to be up is if you have a Facebook account(I'm pretty sure most of you don't have one or don't use the one's you currently have), other than that, it took atleast 2 days for the admin to FINALLY post what was happening to the server and he didn't even tell us himself.
So to make a long post short...
Why players quit- Unfriendly players
- Complete Imbalance
- A total waste of time
- The owner has a lack of communication with the players
- The 600 Customs are useless.
- He told me himself that the 3 HOURS+ players spent on the quest was JUST FOR STYLE.
Why I and the other GMs quit- The owner did not notice that the person who said he was BowieBowie, one of the most trusted people on eAthena, was not really BowieBowie somethings were COMPLETELY obvious
- Too many unneeded things being implented, instead of balancing, he made the training grounds all pretty and things, when I suggested a new map for the server, everyone told me that "The server needs to be finished first" the server was never finished, yet the unneeded things were implented anyways.
Looking at the other reviews, I think I may of missed somethings, I promise to do better on my next full review!
