I've been on Rebirth RO for about five years now and I can honestly tell you that I've been on Rebirth though it's toughest times and though it's most interesting as well. Rebirth RO has had one of the worst reputations there is, the GM's are rude, condescending and complete rubbish. They ALL have legit accts on the server of which, surprisingly have +10 gears, great items that would be all but impossible to get. Their friends in their guilds have the same things, what a coincidence. Though the server does for the most part have 24/7 access, the lag on the server it's self has gotten worse and worse over the years. Rebirth in and of it's self is definitely not a place to go if your looking for a server that's balanced, because this one most definitely isn't. They've nerfed so many things, and buffed so many things that shouldn't have been buffed in the first place. The people there seem to, in my opinion at least, get dumber and dumber as the years go on. It's like stupidity is a disease that's spreads at just a touch.
If you join Rebirth RO, it's a MUST to have donates if your on the Loki server at least. That's where the majority of the people are, though Tir and Eir are some what active they don't hold a candle to Loki. And though I speak only for the Loki server, I can honestly tell you that if you do join, you will have to get Donates in order to survive, the mast majority of the people on Loki have donates and use them to every advantage they can. +30 to all stat helms, helms that give you extra magic attack based off of what your Int is, fire bolt helms that are over powered because they give you +25 to stats as well. And the list could go on and on and on.
The economy of the server is even worse to an extent, you can't go to Payon *the main vending town* and I say Main because in many other places you can find little shops popping up here and there to annoy you with excessive prices on things. They say that shops are only supposed to be in Payon, but the GM's seem to only enforce that rule when they're in a bad mood and wish to pull out the trusty ban hammer.
Reports in this server aren't handled with any sort of promise from the GM's as well, heck there's a quote from a GM that states and I do quote from "GMLilalyn, on 03 December 2009 - 07:04 PM, said: 2) We can ban anyone for any reason, or no reason, including what they put in their comment on MSN or anywhere else." Now tell me if I'm wrong, but what sort of server will ban you for something that you placed in your MSN? Are they trying to move over and concur the world or something? As they say, a tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny. And this server is if nothing else, a tyrant in many ways, with many of the GM's.
Now, I will admit, there are a few GM's on there that are helpful, one would be GM Chibi, sadly though she doesn't GM on Loki, but over all I'd say that she is probably the best GM that I've met in my long years there. Most of the GOOD GM's have already left that server and are now GMing on others. In short though, if you do join Rebirth RO, I wish you the best of luck, I do hop on every once in a while to talk to old friends that do still play unfortunately, or for the odd WoE that I'm asked to help in, but for the most part people, if you do join this drama filled server, be sure to fasten your seat belts, because your in for a bumpy ride.
