PlatinumRO is a very new server, but I feel it deserves a more in-depth review to show prospective players what kind of server pRO can be!

The Pros

Platinum is a new, fresh server, leaving much to be discovered and lots of territory to be claimed. Currently, there are plenty of customs to discover that the current community hasn't already. The server already has 900+ custom hats to discover and complete quests for. All of the official quests are included on the server and none have been removed for any reasons, as well as extra quests being added everytime something new is added.

Due to the small size of the server thus far, WoE hasn't been enabled, but I see this as a positive and gives new players, new guilds and the overall growing community a chance to have a real, fair fight for each castle. There are two instances of Endless Tower; Endless Tower itself, and a newer area, Endless Cellar, both with features unique to them. Endless Cellar includes 77 levels of intense monster fighting that includes mobs and MVPs that aren't included in Endless Tower. Battlegrounds is fair and rules for fair fights are actually in place, platinumRO's BG also includes a unique Capture the Flag option.

PlatinumRO GMs are quite friendly and are readily available to help anyone with issues in and out of game. The Admin of the server is always around, constantly updating and adding in new features while engaging in casual chat with any of the players as well as joining in Main chat. When there is a problem with anyone in-game GMs are quick to take action. While there are not many staff for the server, because the community is still growing, they do a wonderful job of keeping things organized and pleasent for the players.

Donations for the server are quite balanced and don't give any player an extreme advantage over another. The staff do not harrass anyone to donate, nor do they even suggest it. Donating to the server is an option left entirely to the community. The server is very stable and has only had one instance of unforseen downtime due to a power outage that the staff had no control over.

The community on pRO, however small we may be right now, is very friendly and easy to talk to. For a single player to join the server, it is very easy to make friends quickly. There is also an open forum for players to express their needs and concerns for the server so that the staff can listen to suggestions and improve the quality of gameplay.

The Cons

As PlatinumRO is still so new, the community is very small. I believe that on a daily basis I can see anywhere from 3 to 12 players on at most. There are no merchants to vend any good items, and with that there is no economy to base any prices on to sell to other players. I believe that because there is no WoE as of yet, there is a lack of appeal for players to stay online and play or to start guilds with others. With no one to play WoE or BG against, there is no real competition or rivalry on the server. There are some events created by the Admin to keep players interested, but no real community to give it that exciting edge. Although the small population is a real setback to a lot of pRO's more fun features, the server will really benefit from growth.

A Summary

As you can see, the real downside to the server is the serious lack of players and economy, but I also believe that once the community on the server starts growing, the players will really have a great time exploring and learning about each other. I think that when this server starts growing, the appeal will increase immensely. Players will have a great time playing on this server!
