I would like to write a review on the server Midgard Cronicles. This server opened up January 1st, 2010, and has taken in many passionate RO payers, new and old. Now I don't want to sound like a big cheese ball, but this server has won the hearts of both me and many players worldwide (and brainless hours of gameplay.) As well as customization to improve gameplay without over doing it. When starting on Midgard Cronicles you're welcomed by the kindest and ever growing player community within minutes. Great PVP, PVM and even for those who like to sit in town looking for a good conversation.

Game Play :

This server is 150x/150x rates.
Normal drop is at 40x.
Normal card drop is 30x, Boss card drops at 20x
One of the best leveling spots after changing to third class is Skellings. A custom monster along side with saplings. Skellings gives great amounts of exp without leveling too fast or over doing the long grind. They managed to find a perfect medium when it comes to maxing out your character, and not wanting to shy away from making another class after because of the grind.

The rates being 150 at normal times (Floating rates on rare occasions as an event.) And max level being 255, Classes are really encouraged to party, especially within the levels of 1~120. Skellings and saplings, which again is the prime leveling spots on the server, are no easy poring and will kick your butt. At that level range a party is essential for fast and efficient leveling. Though once your hit is around 200, if you know your stuff, soloing will be no issue.
Current share range is 30. An understandable amount when there is a 255 level span. To encourage guild parties and events, the party size can go up to 20 players max. And 10% more exp as you add people to your party.

Player base:

A great community is essential to me. Midgard holds the most amazing community and people you will remember for the rest of your life. Friends are made here, and although enemy's could be as well, but that's something that's found everywhere. Something that's a bit cheesy but you will find is a lot of players on their own created a very large family tree. Don't ask me who all is in my family because it's a lot of damn people. Actually.. I think my daughter is my aunt..somehow.. Anyways! The server has been around for a year and a half and you will see players from the server's opening right down to the last couple weeks of joining. New players are treated fairly and are not out casted by tenure

Customization:
Ill just go into detail about a few of the most important customizations to MCRO. One of the biggest things to mc is the amazing server itself. The server is customized to hold a large amount of players at once, even if they were to all be doing AoE on a ton of monsters. Your zoom out range is large, so no monsters or npcs ninja you only 10 cells away.
A big thing to the server is Mannheim WoE. Though MC does have regular woe 4 days a week, Mannheim is a custom 24/7 war. So if you have a beef with another guild or want to steal their castle, this is the perfect place to duke it out. Mannhiem has normal war settings, and @go commands disabled.
Another Thing MCRO has is the Infamy Leader Board, which you can check on the website. For doing things such as killing in pvp or Mannheim, or hunting monsters for items, you get ranked. The top 20 of each category along with their sprite is shown, giving players something to work up to. The infamy ladder is not reset often, so you can hold your title, or try to hold it for a while. The 5 infamy categories are Conquest, Endurance, Hunting, Might, and Reputation.

3rd Classes:

3rd Classes on this server in all their glory. You might ask how MC handles the still new additions to RO?  The server takes in suggestions and fixes daily to improve game play and reduce over powered or broken skills. Although some skills are still waiting to go under the knife and get fixed up, many of the skills most important to each class have been or are being balanced.
As for renewal mechanics, they are almost non exisitant to Midgard. For example, when renewal hit the official server and the drop or exp depended on the monsters level, this took the fun out of hunting for many players. So MC did not go into that direction. So you still get the good farming experience.

Donations:

Donates are not hard to obtain, so if you don't have money lying around then there's no worry. Although vote for points is common on every server, it's still a great way to earn your donates and help the server grow. Donates do not make the server unbalanced either, they are simply to maximize your potential.

Staff:

The staff at Midgard are fantastic. I've never met such helpful and dedicated individuals. Every day there's changes made to the server to improve it, but somehow the staff don't crack under pressure. The staff do have legit characters, but MC have a 0 tolerance for corrupt. I've seen the admin borrow mvp cards from other players to war.
Another great thing about MC is they let the players help develop the server as It continues to grow. They have a lovely thing called Community Contributors. Regular players who have skills in an area or want to learn how can apply to the CC position. Design and create headgears, maps, quests and scripts then made available to the whole server.
The current Staff are...

Admins: Nevelis, Euphoria, Avesta
Game Masters: Fenrir, Nomi, Rue, Honus

Economy:

The economy on Midgard is a bit of a downfall, but is being looked at. Currently zeny is not worth much and most players just keep their gears instead of selling. The vendors location, Emera, only has maybe 4-5 vendors at a time, who I see vending the same stuff daily. Mvp cards are seen to be traded for credits aswell as any other pricey gear.

Events:

The current automated events at Midgard are Where's Waldo, Devil's Square, and Maze. Where's Waldo is pretty much your warped to an area filled with porings with similar names, the few with the correct name will give you prizes. Once all porings are found you will be warped back to town.
When Devils Square begins there will be several portals for you to go into, each portal becomes harder and harder. If you survive all portals an MVP will appear. Once the mvp is killed by the party, treasure boxes are spawned as a prize.
When entering maze, you will wait for the timer, and receive an Increase agi lvl 10. Although sometimes maze goes on longer then your buff and you cannot buff or use @commands in this room. Once the event starts you have to run through portals that are randomized. The winner can talk to the npc to receive their prize.

Thanks for reading and see you in game!
