Well, I'm pretty sure that the normal, small review box wouldn't be any good for me when it comes to reviewing this server. I need a lot more. Seriously.
Server Stability: 7 / 10
Overall I'd say it's pretty stable, or at least it was for me. I didn't experience almost any lag spikes at all. Other players did though and usually chatted about it on #main, which does lower my ratings.
Server Availability: 2 - 8 / 10
How can I rate it like that you ask? Well, when I first started playing on LuminaRO, I didn't experience a whole lot of downtime. And if there was a maintenance, usually a GM would make a broadcast in game to let the players know. That's what the 8 is for. But during the last few months I tried to play there and enjoy playing... Well. On one day it was the map server that was down - on the other day it was the login server that was down. No explanations for crashes, and they could occur even twice per day and last for HOURS. Yes, I'm a player who gets that the staff of server has a life outside of RO and it's something I respect. But this is why you should have a bit more staff, honestly. To cover just about every timezone there is out there. And trust me, I wasn't the only one getting extremely frustrated with these downtimes.
Game Master friendliness: 6 /10
The reason why I'm giving this low score is because I didn't really get to talk with the staff members of Lumina. I know that when I started to play that the admin was online few times per week at least, but during the last weeks of my staying, she was nowhere to be seen (because she was traveling and taking a vacation - okay, I understand the need for this as well, seeing that the staff doesn't get paid for doing what they do - but honestly, the server had severe bugs all over it and god knows what else and the only GM available wasn't really able to do anything about those). I also noticed that some of the GMs - I won't mention any names - had a tendency to get a bit snappy at the players. Well, okay, the players can be annoying. So it's not entirely the GMs fault. But getting so snappy over small things players reminded some of them about is... not really professional in my eyes.
Game Master availability: 5 / 10
Well, like I stated earlier, I didn't really get to see a lot of staff members online. I only remember talking with one GM in person, and I did attend a couple of events held by the event GM I can't name right now (my name memory is bad, I know).
Game Master helpfulness: 4 / 10
The only reason I'm not giving this a plain 0 is because of GM OverClokx. Yes, I know what he did, I saw it on Lumina forums and here as well and I think it's wrong. But he was the only GM I saw online during the last month I was playing there, TRYING HIS BEST to help the players who needed GM assistance! The rest? Uhm, what rest? There were more of GMs?
Community friendliness: 8 / 10
The community, once you get to know people there, is friendly. They're fun to hang out with (as in just sit in a town and chat about this and that) and usually if there weren't any trolls online, your questions about the server or game mechanics got answered pretty quickly on #main.
Community eventfulness: 2 / 10
Like I said, I only attended few events held by GMs - the rest were just automated events and tbh, I don't really enjoy them. It's much more fun to interact with a real person in an event.
Economy: 2 / 10
Point me a server that has a good economy, seriously. I don't think these even exist anymore. There was a lot of useless crap on sale on vending lane for cheap - but end gear equips like Diablos stuffs did cost 200m and even more - NONREFINED. Sorry, that's just... f*cked up.
Guild competition: -
I choose not to rate this, because I have never attended WoE on Lumina or on any other server I've played on so far. Also, I didn't really pay attention to this side of the server, because I'm more of a PvM/MVP person.
tl;dr:
The community is friendly and you will find players there who help you with leveling or getting gears. However, when you wake up every morning you have no idea whether the login server, map server or the whole damn thing will be offline and you won't be able to log on for hours (if it's bad). If you enjoy a screwed up economy, this is also something you should try out. If you enjoy PvM/MVP things like me, do yourself a favor - make an asura champion on Lumina and solo every single MVP that is NOT ghost. The bigger the party, the bigger the disaster they cause on a MVP run. The picture that I got is that most of the people on this server, as sad as it sounds, are not really experienced MVPers and that they don't even want to try out some new ways that can be described as "efficient" and fun at the same time.
Overall, it was nice while it lasted, but for some reason I'm happy being back on my old server for now.
