Server Stability: 9/10
Had some occasional downtime when I started playing, apparently from a ddos attack.  Oh well.

Server Availability: 9/10
See above.

GM Friendliness: 3/10
Never saw one except for when one bot checked me, and was fairly cordial.  Still loses points because, well, none were there.

GM Availability: 0/10
Never saw one except for when one bot checked me.  You'd think they'd at least be in town or something if they were on.

GM Helpfulness: 0/10
Never saw one.  I believe they don't actually exist and are simply names to give us hope.

Economy: 8/10
Low-rate economy.  Getting money wasn't too hard, things sold for high prices and you could take advantage of that even low levelled.

Guild Competition: N/A
I have no idea so I won't judge it.  WOE, however, is a complete joke and has no reason for even participating except for the extra pvp.  The emps break so much every castle has no economy.

Class Balance: 9/10
Same as everywhere else with no skill changes, really.

Community Friendliness: 5/10
Here's the big problem I had.  Everyone was fairly friendly, but it was mostly surface friendliness and after you got settled in you were another cog.  Pop of the server means the loss of you is just 5 minutes asking on main for another of your class and welp there you go.  Questions or price checks asked in main usually had no response.  It's very difficult to become one of the "in" people, too.  You're either special or a no-name.

Also, everyone there has a massive erection for their Even Share parties.  My guild was having a DB party which I couldn't attend since the TWO people in the party refused to have no even share to let me join in.  Thanks guys.

Community Eventfulness: 0/10
Never saw community events, really.  Oh well, I don't think I could have attended them since I wasn't part of the Super Fun Club.

The custom quests and stuff were pretty okay, except most of the quests had NPCs that warped around the map.  Not only is that the least fun thing I can possibly imagine putting into a quest (YAY I GET TO FLY WING AND HOPE I GET LUCKY), there's also a large amount of secrecy around them so you can't really get any help on that either.  Better rely on your guild, oh wait, who are you?

I was mostly disappointed with heRO, but perhaps you'll enjoy it.  Feel free to come on down to work hard at 5/5/3 rates to still be a no-name and end up nowhere.  Unless you know the right people and play for half a year, then you're a cool guy.

I'm not a big fan of HeRO myself. However the part you wrote about GM activity is expected on most servers of that size. Ironically it's usually the smaller servers who have more active GMs and who value their players more than a mere number. Oh well, good luck with your future searches.

I'm sorry to hear your experience was not enjoyable, but I must say I wonder how long or at what kind of hours of the day you play to have only seen a GM once. We have a very active GM team, there is one online at least once a day, I know because I have a client open 24/7 with @main off to check such activity, so I see GM broadcasts (and new players being born).

If no GM is online and you need one we have the support ticket, which gets an answer within 24 hours at most, usually it's even faster. And of course GMs are active on forums too, some of us work during the daytime hours so we can't be in game, but have forum access at least. That's how I also get to browse RMS daily XD

In regards to WoE, I must admit it's not at it's best right now. Some time ago there was a strong guild that managed to get a high eco on their castle, the other guilds grouped together and eventually tore their eco to the ground, after that they said no one would have an eco again and that's where we are at, woe is a big PVP playground with castles changing hands a lot during woe. The server's been open for 3 years and the woe scene used to be great, we didn't change anything, it's the players that make the woe, so I don't really consider that it's our power. Some players suggested to close a castle to have more action, we offered to do so (providing one guild agrees to let go of their castle, otherwise we'd get complaints if we take a castle away from a guild), I don't really see what else is to be done, eventually there will be a guild who will strengthen their defense enough to hold an eco and woe will get better.

The community is usually considered friendly, I don't know what guild you were in but the fact that they would not take you in their party for sharing I would say is one isolated incident. It's usually not too hard to blend in the community, if you're looking for social people there's some sitting in Prontera at about any given time of the day, like Silk and his buddies, JJJ or Nya Nya Crew people. I dunno I guess maybe you were unlucky or didn't have the right attitude, I never had problems making friends or finding people to play with, even when I was going incognito on a new account.

About events, there has been less than there used to be lately, but there's still a lot of them. The GM who hosts the most random events (by random I mean they are not pre-announced, they just occur when a gm has time) is currently in her finals and a bit busy, but there are still frequent events. At the very very very very least there's always 1 Trials of Heroes per month (its a monthly competition), monthly fairy auction and weekly Muspel Monday (every monday), so that's 6-7 events per months at the bare minimum, those always occur. Then there's other spontaneous events, last week I hosted a Poring Smash and a Werewolf. I know Mystra hosted an Infinity Tower last week and one the week before too. We're in the mist of a Spring event right now which should conclude tonight, so all in all I'd say there is a good amount of events.

In regards to custom quest the npc do not teleport around a map, they walk (a few cells every few seconds), and it's not all the quests, just some. We did that so that the quest cannot be made into easy go from point A to point B guides, if someone spoils you the info you'll know which map to go to, but you'll still have to search for the npc. But really, moving npc are only in 3 permanent quests I think, out of 20+ it's not that bad, if it's not your cup of tea there are many quests with static npcs. The no spoiling information on @main rule was implemented so that players would get the chance to experience quests by themselves, you don't have to rely on your guild/friend, you can simply do it yourself. If that's not for you and you prefer to have help, we allow that players ask on main to be PMed quest info, you can also ask people in town, in party, guild, etc.

Well, all in all, it's your view of the server and I'll respect it, but I think your bad experience is not shared by that many, our population grows, people in general seem to like the server, after trying it most stick around. They can see that a genuine effort is made, there's new features added in regularly, we work pretty hard on heRO. ^_^;

As for ymir, lol, why am I not surprised to see his reply. Of course he doesn't like me or my server, I was part of the people that told him off, both times when his server had votes that were cheated and also when he closed his server and left his players with no news for weeks. While it's not completely false that some larger server don't have a lot of GM activity, it does not make it true for all servers, on heRO we're way active.

Kate was on heRO the other night and took part in an event. /hmm

I haven't really played long enough to place a proper review, but what I can give the server full marks for is stability, availability, and community. Each player I've met so far has been very nice and friendly.

Can't say much for GMs, I haven't been on when any of the Staff has been present. But, Kate gives full marks to GM-Ayu.
