Honestly I don't know why anyone would pay for buttons that look like that, that's on the Woonies. If anything they should be banned for being really bad at recognizing when they're being ripped off.

Your entire statement is contradictory. Private servers for RO are out right illegal. See the RMS banner up top that has RO images, plagiarism. Perhaps you remember the whole fiasco with EuRO and coming after private server.

As for us taking other server's stuff, seeing as how we are one of the oldest out there, lot of those things originate with us, though there are scripts on hercules and rathena we take and convert back to eathena. We also pay devs to convert theirs scripts to our server, since it saves us the time of writing them from scratch. Though most of the stuff we have implemented over the years has been written from scratch. And for the grf, ours isn't encrypted so people freely take stuff from there and it's all good. Lastly I haven't logged on another server for years so it's kind of hard for me to steal other's stuff when I don't even know what's out there. At least until a bunch of people start crying, "hey how come we don't have this?"

As for the gameplay of Woon, that is opinionated. Lot of people will agree with you 100%, and the growing population that plays there will not. Every server is not for everyone since people enjoy different things. You have very strongly expressed why you don't like it, and I cannot argue opinion, especially over the internet since you will just push back harder.

Just think, in the time all the woon RO GM's took to defend their right to 2 buttons, they could have just made new ones, apologized and moved on, leaving them with a better reputation from it. At least Zeal has the balls to try something new and create a more balanced server. Sure theres lag spikes in game but so what? zeal has made it clear that its a work in progress. And yes when i did  pm to Zeal, he replyed to me in a matter of 5 minutes, and yes there was about 3 GM's on today, all at diffrent timezones which most servers cant even do these days, their always on for asain gamers and not for the north american one, and so +1 for zeal, having a gm on at diffrent timezones. And you also forgot to mention the npc in prontera shouts out some of the more important in game rules that players should know about, so stop trying to make it look like a spamming bot saying 'vote for server please!".
And also, on regards to MvP's and big guilds, that is usually the same scenario on most servers, its sad to see but dont think ZealRO has invented  this sad tragedy and what not.

I want to split it into some basic points.

Comparing Woon with Zeal
This is one of the most stupid ideas if you really want to help Zeal. Woon is became a big name over the time. It has tons of quests, a beginner friendly market and the competition in woe is given.
Woon now is (2?) years old and they had a lot more time to make the server look like how its now.
From that point of view its a bit unfair just to say that Zeal is lacking a lot of things because he just started forming this server and cannot mess with such a big number from the very beginning.

But if we really would break it down to facts woon has a far better setup. They have some standart guilds and some guest guilds who like to play from time to time. All in all they have a routine. And then look at Zeal: Saturday, primetime, woe:fe. Woe:se is not ingame. Really? And I dont even know when this starts because you dont have a single hint in the forum about the server time. I really need to download some big files just to check out what time the has ingame. Srsly..

You better stop comparing them, really.

Server features
I want to clear the point about that they dont give a single s*** regarding 3pps because its not true. Back in the days woon tried to block everything and do you know what happened? The server lost a massive amount of players because of that. A lot of ppl said they might come back if potnd gets unblocked without any discussion anymore, ever.
You might could say "hey nice, the cheaters just left" but a server with a focus on woe (Zeal also tries to bring a heavy focus from what Ive heard) cant exist without those players. At the end of the day you cannot block everything. Its impossible. So the most fair option is to make some features free to use for everyone.

The buffs are a different story.
Im not a perma guest in their forum so I dont know the whole background but at least those features often getting realeased if the mass of the comunity wishes it. You might have a different opinion about it but noone cares what single QQbabe got to tell. You should consider that the actual economy wasnt as like it is yet from the very beginning. When they started a lot of things werent available like nowadays. So it was a target which a guild had to organize themself for it to get those features quickly.
You want us to say that some classes are now useless because of the buffs which are given by an npc? Wow, nice. Unfortunely I have bad news for you: agi/bless + full hp/sp recov + full negative condition cure is common standart for good woe focused servers. Everything else is pve s***.
And whats the major difference if I have multiclient army in town to buff myself or just to gain it from an npc where I had to for it before? I cant see your point.

KVM gear and op donations
Hardly discussed, opinions farer away then anything else. But at least every big woe server had those gear implemented. And with woe server I dont mean trash like avid, tervist or whatever they are called.
You are complaining so much about it but at least you seem not to realize that only KVM armors are a part of high competitive contents. You are crying about a valk shield for 3m but dont seem to realize that the mass of players dont give a single f*** about upgrades. Just buy it 1-2 times and you are done. How many shields do you think were farmed there? 1000? 2000? 5000? In 2 years do so many exist of them that there is no demand for it if the mass dont buy more then 2. Only trash pinoys tries to overup it and wonder why they are still got smashed so insanely hard in competitive modes then.
The same story with donates. you just have absolutely no f*** clue what gear should a woe focused server have. You can mix everything without paying reallife money and the requirements are mostly pretty fair. Sry but feather beret in woe is kinda outdated, u know?

When I read this I really have to laugh. Lets be honest: if you are focussing on every content this server will be just trash. As I already said in another thread: the contents in ro dont harmonize with each other. BG focus destroys pve and pve destroys competitive gameplay (too boring for veterans). Playro (aka trivalro now) is the latest example for a fail try combining all contents with each other.
The only thing I can see is that he wants to bring later episodes ingame by the time. This sounds nice. But the truth is that it will be boring trash without some heavy modifcations. Did you ever played 14.2 on pre-renewal? I can tell you that its boring. The items you can obtain dont have any use because they are for renewal and the mobs also are a joke. They had a massive nerf from rathena and even an evil druid is far stronger as some mobs with 150k hp and more. Without some very exhausting costum changes the whole content extension will be just a waste of time. I dont want to blame the admin of zeal but I dont think that he realized it till yet.

Can you give some introduction about some other features which can be counted as exclusive? I have my doubts that there are any which a minimum amount of 5 server had them before. Else its kinda embarassing to say that somebody have balls just because of that. In that case quadrillions of pinoy admin must be have some huge hairy pairs but we all know the truth behind, sadly.

Server stability
Take a look at this:

The server location seems to be the same s*** like avid and playro once. Do you know what 180ms means? It means that my champ with 190 aspd cant snap as fast as some champs with 170 (!!!!) aspd if the ping is under 50.

Do you know what Im calling this value? Im calling it a freaking joke. There is nothing wrong to order a small server and upgrade it to a bigger one if the time is rive. But choosing the server location this bad is a the absolute overkill for competitive gameplay.


Dont get me wrong on this thread: Zeal is young and nothing has to be perfect from the very beginning. But attacking servers which are quantum steps further converts the topic into a flame war without poi..- wait.. sheeet! Okay guys, just go on.

Funny. All I did was point out how the lack of consistency with policies in general is bad for server image, even when the intent behind these changes were good(read?). Donate for gears? Get back to me when you can donate to actually gear up any character at all in Woon, unless you wanna be a rich brat and donate for stuff that can already be made in-game(?? really?) to sell to players. If Woon's donation shop sucks, it's in that it contains s*** that pretty much no one will be assed to donate for. So yes, when you say 'pay2win' and 'Woon' in the same sentence, that is a pretty good joke indeed.

2-Glorious gears are op.Period. Lots and Lots of people skip by servers that have implemented kvm gears, theres a reason.Its OP. Not even france iRO had them enabled, learn from the actuall gravity team and stop enabling OP equipment that shouldnt be availbe ingame. Oh wait im sorry you already did.RIP

3-Yeah your MvP and Mini Boss cards are a problem, you dont see how its a problem atm but you will eventually.
