Posted fair review, server owner gives misleading response

I posted a review for TalonRO that I felt was fair with my experiences on the server. However, a member of the staff responded with what I feel is completely false information, demeaning my review. My review was not based off a single report that was, in my opinion not handled properly, but off multiple cases of people getting away with ksing and disrespect towards other players.

Rule on TalonRO Website: •Respect all players. No harassment or discrimination is allowed. Serious offenses such as racial discrimination or sexual harassment may result in a ban.

His response states that the player said something entirely different, and there is a very big difference between what the player said and what this staff member claims. I feel that was done in an attempt to demean my review by making it look less important.

The current system on TalonRO is that players must first warn another player before they can report them, so essentially a player must ks or harass them multiple times before they will be punished. It is acceptable to go off on a player until the point that a warning is given, even if it is completely random, unprovoked, or extremely harsh.

My experience on this server thus far shows that many players understand this rule and abuse it. They will KS you or curse you out, use racial slurs, etc until the point that you warn them. Then they will go away, and you'll be alright until the next player comes along and does it.

My review was honest and it addresses a very serious issue with this server. I strongly feel that the owner's response should be removed as it is entirely inaccurate (the system is frequently abused, and the cursing towards that player was not what the staff member claimed it to be), and it demeans the entire point of my review by making it seem unimportant and false. I simply feel that rules should be enforced and punishment given to players who act maliciously towards the community, and in my time here I see more of them hiding behind these rules than actually being punished. This particular report was used as an example of the kind of conduct that is frequent by players of this server. It is not this one report that prompted this review, but the combined experiences I have had since I began playing over a month ago.

We cannot offer fair and constructive reviews if the owners are allowed to cut our reviews down like this. We may as well simply not post if we have anything less than 7s or 8s to give =/

This is the inner politic within Talon RO.  We have no say and no control about how Talon RO issue their rules and govern the server with them.

You are allowed to express your opinion and the server owner is given the same opportunity to make themselves clear on the matter.  It's a different point of view between the two of you and that means we (RMS) cannot get involved into this at all.

Even if their response was a clear lie in regards to the issue they presented? The screenshot clearly shows that it was a much more offensive remark than what was presented in their RMS response.

I'm not asking you to tell them how to conduct their server. I feel their response to my review should be removed for being inaccurate, false, and off-topic.

By my links provided you can plainly see that they lied, I thought false statements were not tolerated here?

As I said it's a difference in point of views.  A rule is abusable or not is up to you and the server owner to argue forever.

You clearly understand the system and how it is "abusable".  Your report topic shows how it is done and the owner response further confirmed your description on how the system works.

A bit off-topic, but thanks for keeping RMS up and running, I've been playing for years and I'd be lost without it!
