balance. More importanly the balance gravity has established. Some things may seem overpowered but for the most part its because one hasnt figured out its weakness yet. People on official thought acid demo was overpowered and needed a nerf til they figured what gears lower its damage. Anyway by balance i mean skills working as intended and rare items being rare. Its amazing that some gms on servers think its ok to give out rares on a low/mid rate for events.. may as well play a high rate for that.

the thing about acid demo on official servers is that it requires a build that makes all other creator skills useless. but with resets / or high rates it is different. also rebirthing an alchemist is one of the hardest and most expensive things to do on 1/1/1 rates (at least before homunculus - i dont really know if that helps particularly, i imagine it does)

Its worth it for how easy mvping is with a creator but i dont agree with the all other creator builds being useless thing. Creators dont get any new skills that stray from the acid demo build. They get nothing that benefits from str and you can fit full chem protect in a demo build or you could get aid slim and demo and just about everything but chem protect. The thing is some gears that were otherwise useless(long mace and the like) have become much more usefull since they are one of the best means to lower its damage. It took a while for people to figure that out though.

I believe that friendly community is #1 without it i have no passion to continue on on the server even though it has lagless, balance, etc.
(spend most of the time in the game sittin round talkin to ppl)

I voted community because it's so important. But balance is not far behind, it's an aspect that must not be overlooked.

Seeing that only one person voted for PVP/WOE gives me hope for our future. ^_^

Heck, my server has absolutely NO PVP/WOE and we're all happy. I thought we were a minority!

in my opinion to attract the attention to a server you need:
1- community (w/ a good community the players number increase and decrease the rule breaks)
2- balance (all classes are already good in some aspect and dont need extreme boosts)
3- itens (customization is a good publicity but rid drops just to recive more donations show the GMs limited imagination)
4- GMs participation (create regular events and discuss w/ the players about new ideas and problems)
another good point is the server control by the GMs. leave the server in the hands of players to do whatever they want create some chaos like rule breaks and unbalance.
