What would you rather see in a server?

So I've just been pondering this.
Which of these themes would you rather see in a server and which would make you want to join that server more:

1. A dark creepy/mysterious themed server

2. Or a bright and fun themed server

Leave your thoughts?

Both.

But I prefer bright / fun main city. You can slip up some creepy stuffs as features.

I prefer bright and life up theme.


because then, I can be a dark gloomy player that will ruin it..

Actually both was depends on what kind of server you build. A PVP-WOE oriented servers will had a gloomy looks. Some RPs type server also had gloomy themes. A bright and fun theme means that u don't have any "violance" feature in your servers like PK Areas, Bloody PVP and others..

I think it would more or less depend on the theme of the RO perhaps? haha
this is definitely my opinion of course lol,

if you're more or less a PK server then wouldn't you go for a bloody theme for your website to enhance the feeling?
and if it's a RP then.. more or less it depends on what the RP story is haha

RO certainly has a lot of dark and horrible elements even in the base game, but it's a little hard to take someone's idea of "dark and creepy" seriously because it's usually either done hammily or, well, the game's sprites lend themselves to bubbly cheeriness fairly well already.

I like the idea of a bright server happy go lucky etc, but with a dark, twisted side. I'm actually going to work with a friend of mine to create some custom storylines(completely optional and not required to play through) that way people can have a taste of something new rather than just level up and killing MvP's blindly.

I prefer bright city also.  I put my monitor brightness low so in maps like ant hell, payon dungeon it's already very hard to see.  Having a dark chilling place will kill me.

Dark's for Halloween and light for over-all, so I'm going for bright and fun themed server, not too bright though

If I have to choose between the two, I'll go with a bright and fun themed server. 
A dark themed one would probably make my eye hurt.
A bright themed one would seems to be more enjoyable and fun
