As most of you may already know...
The server information concerning it's "Ethnic and Language" are 3/4 of the times "false".
It is written that they're American , Canadian or British community in which (of course) the main language of the server used ingame should be "english" but unfortunately it's almost never the case.
I've been jumping from 1 server to another day by day not even lasting 2hours... in each of them.
I tried to endure it for as long as I could but in the end I still find this wrong so here I am... , I think it's about time someone point it out.
"Communication problem" , it's the most common thing that majority of the servers share.
Some people might say "well , what can we do about it ?" or "As long as we can play , it's okay" but I've witnessed something that far exceeded my wildest imaginations.
I've seen "communication problem" that evolved into "discrimination" which eventually led to something extremely close to "racism".
A group of non-english speakers [I'm not going to cross the line and say their nationality] gathered up and started off by making fun of the foreigners and ended up getting carried away... (we can pretty much guess what comes next , right?)
They were having so much fun as to go as far as to using @main chat  or @shout using "megaphones" or "npcs" for sadly almost an hour. (amazing development , isn't it ?)
I've tried manifesting by informing the GM and the Admin but what could've they done against the majority ? (The active ones at that)
A country without it's people is nothing but an empty plain , right ?
Plus I don't think they understood 1/2 of the things that I tried to explain... <--- (for the 1st time in my entire life I got crazy mad over a game.)
And so I've come to the conclusion that the "core" of this menace , the "false information" must be corrected/solved by either hiring GMs , POLICEs whose english are fluent or simply by editing their server info.
But before we start anything , I strongly suggest that RMS warn all the server admins to avoid this embarrassment from prolonging.

So, a bunch of Pinoys (its the stereo-type and probably true regardless) were talking smack?

Shouldn't the topic be changed to 'Business as usual' ? If it isnt 1 nationality, its another cuz EVERYONE does it

Relics

Unless a server specifies that you're not allowed to speak a language apart from english then there's nothing you can do really. I'm dutch, if I meet dutch people in an english RO server, chances are I'm gonna speak dutch with that person. Afaik private RO servers happen to attract a large population of pinoys.. and you can't force everyone to speak english and imo a rule like that shouldn't be enforced either

Lol... I guess their nationality was too obvious , yes they were a large group of pinoys.
I never once said that "everyone should speak english".
But at the very least I think that the higher ups of the server: GMs , Admin , Polices should know how to speak the languages that they stated that they can , fluently.
Being incapable of hearing out the entire community and being satisfied with only 85% of it's population is somewhat injust to the rest of us... it's almost an insult.
Do they not bare a responsibility to take care of every each member of theirs ?
If they can't do anything about pinoys dominating the servers , they should at least avoid discrimination , right ?
I'm not seeking revenge or justice , all I ask for is simple:
1) be honest when writing their server info.
2) if their server is international , hire people who're capable of communicating in "english" , why ? Because it's the international language for Godsake... isn't it obvious for them to be able to speak it ?
And to top it up , solve their problems concerning respect and violation of the rules.
They think just by going (ANNOUNCEMENT: Everyone must speak in english in a public chat when they're talking as a group) will solve everything... but guess what ? No ! There are many bad boys and girls out there hungry to break the rules...
They have the "the laws are meant to be broken" mentality.

sry I made a mistake and clicked "quote"... bump

PS: They should look for someone who can speak english better than me at the very least.

Well, there are servers who put their Main Language as "English" probably to "universalize" the players they might need. Thus, they are putting it as an "International Private Server," available for everyone.

However, I am jumping (as well) from server to server where they put the Main Language as "English" but the GMs themselves are speaking a foreign language (probably, they are using English as a Second / Foreign Language) because the server itself tends to attract those with the same nationality with the GMs or the Administration staff at least.

But then, I don't think that the server is fully in the foreign language (most of the server's text are presented in the English language.)

And some people really want to speak their Mother Tongue but at least, servers must put a barrier into it, or perhaps a limitation on whatever available medium the server's boundary is extended to.
