That's honestly not much. We charge our clients $65.00 an hour and a $500 deposit at my college through our internship program. Then again, you get what you pay for.

Before I would pay more than 100$ for my RO Website, I would learn design and HTML by myself (Though I know it already). Takes me less time than earning 100$.
Then again, this is just me.

I guess the server was succesfull way beyond what anyone could espect. Especially since it was the admin his first time hosting a server.
Yes, we made mistakes. But i think we can't complain about the results. ^^
But i feel truly sorry it had to end this way. Good chance the RO community will see my maps popping up somewhere else.

I have to address these statements and accusations in a calm way, even thought it really hurts to hear people who have no idea about the hardships involved in closing VastRO. We tried to the best of our ability to build an environment for players that would make them support and in turn love VastRO. The statements previously written does make me and Roy seem as corruptive admins with only profit in mind. I can see why people believe this might be true. I will have to truthfully respond to these accusations as entirely wrong and we used all the money for the benefit of building a better server with the players in mind throughout the whole process. Both me(Cain) and Royale took this decision because of the state the server was in and the security issue that couldn't be guaranteed. In this regard and for myself I put my education on hold to be maintaining the server and I still don't know if I can be ready in time because of the lost months that I was admin of VastRO. It did far exceed my greatest imagination that the server would get as good as it did and the time involved in maintaining it. I did went on hiatus status, saw that the server suffered because of my absence. The state the server suffered at the last two days, because of the hacking and economy issues, Royale and I both took the decision of closing the server. There were no one in line to continue hosting it and no one with the experience needed to maintain it. We know that we have the responsibility for what has happened, even thought we did continue as long as we could. I really hope the players of VastRO had a nice experience apart from the closing of the server. We are deeply sorry for the people who have supported us through the process of making VastRO. We might meet again some day. University has the upper hand on RO after all, I thought I could maintain it and do two things at once.

I am aware of my responsibility and it was a really hard decision closing the server. Of course we wanted to continue with the server, however time restraints, in-game issues previously stated and the hacking made the cup flooded.

"on hold" means, in this context, not having the time I need to work with my exams. I am doing my masters exam in peace and conflict studies. I am sure you can't comprehend what it means to attend an education of that level. No offence.

You shouldn't start a server if you don't have the ability to multitask.  Simply saying your university education is taking up all your time is not good enough.  Albeit, it is difficult to manage the two, but it's not impossible.  Enjoy the money ^_^

First of all, I responded on a stupid remark. Second, we were two admins that were supposed to to share the load and we did. The work became a too big load for me to work, maintain a server, provate life and university. Since I had a schedule that wasn't enough for the stuff I had to do, VastRO for some reason made me occupied way to much, there is no reason to analyse that. Third, fire is fought with fire at least it is here. Even that I am educated in politics, it doesn't work here. I did not prio anything, it was an obligation I received after starting this server. It's to state that I was trying hard to maintain it for the benefit of the players.

Friendly note: what has happened has happened already. Feel free to move on and don't react to the reactions of others for your decisions. If you are really pushed to ace those exams, then go ahead and ace them.

Acting very defensively to the ridiculous pictures above me and those remarks about corruption will just waste your time.
