Well, my friend Archie, the coadmin to Saints RO was banned, because of him reporting the server owner for giving items to his 13 year old e-girlfriend, because Dave couldn't kill a 13 year old kid in pvp so he stripped the kid from his donor powers.

Wow...Archie were banned and fired for making equips for himself. I admit I made equips for myself but I did not go around with MVP cards and going to WoE taking castles and "testing" weapons in PvP without warning or even letting know that you're on you were on your admin account. Also THAT kid was banned cause he didn't donate for the account and his donor prizes. The account was traded. I don't agree with trading accounts. Yet it was another person's account and he came back. And wanted his donor prizes back. But I let him stay with those donor prizes. He on the other hand kept on verbally abusing me and the people I was with in my guild as well. I gave him multiple warnings. He didn't stop. It was a staff decision to Ban him for a week. Then your friend Archie had npc's in the system in which  none of us knew about giving certain people GM powers and items. Luckily we disabled them and banned the one's that were doing more damage. I am not against certain races or sexual preference. Ikeno was legit in ways. Oh I forgot. Archie also "helped" him level and got AD bottles. The edrama is caused by you and your friends that have no life but yet try to come back and harass the people that play the server and like it. So again. Since you don't know the whole truth. And are just told some part of it and not now anything about what was going on. I suggest you stop this nonsense. Ikeno you were not hired by me as a GM and was fired cause of it. I let you stay on the server. But it was also a staff decision for banning your account. I also do not go around posting Archie's @items and his logs. Archie was going to be fired for the staff decided on that he wasn't helping the server. Since you clearly had no idea what was going on. I ask of you to stop this nonsense. yeah actually david is the owner of the server. all he does is pay for it. he knows nothing of how to make it run. he is only in it for the money because of kevin from the now dead wolfro who made about 12k in less than 3 months from donations.

Why would I need to profit off of the server? That's not my intention. The intention for SaintsRO is to have place where friends can gather and have fun. Why would I need to steal the server's money when I'm putting everything I got into advertisement and future upgrades? I'm not in for the money. If i was into the money wouldn't I have closed the server and ran off already? I've already put in $200 of my own money for this server. I have no intentions with running off with the money. My intention is to build this server even with all of you bashing it with your childish remarks. Why would I want to be like Kevin from wolfRO? I was a wolfRO victim as well. @damarus - Corruption? No one on the staff is corrupt. David has admitted his wrong-doing and we've moved on. Why can't you? God forbid we hunt and get a few lucky drops. And yes I'll admit that I do not like homosexuals, but that's not why I wanted Alex fired. I opposed to anyone being hired, straight or not. We don't have a large enough economy to have a bunch of GMs running around, no matter what type of GM that is. The only staff members left are David, Yuki Chan, DarkPoet, and myself. DarkPoet and I can both program very well. We make updates and fix bugs everyday. You've caused a lot of e-drama for this server. You claim that there's so much and yet I still see you ingame? If you think it's such a bad place.. then it's very simple. Leave.

@benth - David does know how to make a server run. He is still a 'beginner' at coding but he can and does know how to run a server. I've been with SaintsRO from the first day it was online, David didn't need to program the server. That's where I came in. As we developed and started to grow, more programmers became avaliable. Then David decided that he did want to help out the server and learn to code.
Also, you don't know it, but you contridicted yourself; "all he does is pay for it." , "he is only in it for the money"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does that not clearly state that he pays for the server? Hmm.. nice one.

no all he does is pay for it cause he cant do anything otherwise. like you said he is a beginner at programming.  david if you werent in it for the money then you wouldnt have contacted all the donators to go and play there. yes i was contacted through a former wolfro donator saying that you were opening up the server and wanted all wolfians to try it out. oh and back to you avin say that its an oxymoron its not because all he can do is pay for now and he only wants the donators money. for the record i have already paid more than $1200 to keep my server afloat out of my own pocket thats about $400 a month seeing as how i actually pay for everything and i do the the work myself. $200 payed out your own pocket isnt s**t. talk to me when you actually care about ppl having fun and want your server to be running no matter how many players are there.

@benth - We average 20ish players. We don't care how many people we have. We're trying to grow so more people can have fun. If David was in it only for the money , I wouldn't have helped as much as I have. Where would that leave me? Wasting my time without a paycheck? And I didn't say you don't have at clue how things work, all you did was contridict yourself and I pointed it out. So before you go around telling other people that they don't know how things work, why don't you read what things say? I've already said David does know how to run a server. He can change configurations, knows how to work mapflags, can edit database files and all the good stuff involved. Oh and guess what? He can script any basic NPC. Sometimes that's all it takes. Has it ever occured to you that maybe we wanted all the WolfRO people in one place again? Stop wasting your time, and our time. If David was in it for the money he wouldn't keep the server going when it isn't growing at a steady rate right now. We've been at 20-30 on and off for over a month now.

Wow, this server seems pretty nice. My server only had 1 person doing the Website/Game/Coding/Scripting/GM-ing in the beginning... which was me. So I guess you guys are going to be a pretty good server in the future  .

I don't get your point. I think it's stupid to only have 1 GM. We'll, if you're just catering to only 1 country and one spoken language maybe that's ok or you speak like 10 different nation based languages it's ok too. BUT if you have players scattered around the world, IMO it's just wise to have more than 1 GM.

What type of server do you have that $200 placed in on it is already a big deal? I'm billed $300 and change a month to run my server and I don't go cramming on how to get donations.


On another note: This goes out to all who might in one day open their own server... Your server is your own responsibility not your players. It's either suck it up or cough it out.

The cramming for donation thing is generalized. My question was why even post on how much money you have put in on your server, it's irrelevant and it doesn't prove anything.

And yes I did read the entire thread before I posted. I just didn't reply on the accusations because I'm not even there to begin with.

I normally don't get myself involved in this stuff... especially now that overall i've stopped playing RO. How many times i've shown this link via IM, i lost count already, but it seems like each and every time it's an another irrelevant sequence of posts that ultimately get nowhere.

@ben: Sup man? How's your server been going? Hopefully well, as i noticed you've done a lot of new work to it. You know i don't have anything against you, but what Avin and David have said are both accurate. SaintsRO hasn't hit even 50 players and has rarely had venders (other than myself and 2 others before i stopped playing). As for your activity on their server, login account database shows me that you don't have an account by any of those names, anything close to those names, or even characters with any of the names i could relate to your previous RO gameplay. Perhaps you may have gotten their server confused with another similarly-named server?

@Avin and David: Pressing on this topic doesn't make the server any better, although i have no idea how many people on RMS actually look at these forums o_o;; i know I don't. We've worked to improve saintsRO from what it used to be, and it's showing itself to be more successful than before as well. I also know how you two want to make a point on here, but my advice to you both is that it's an arguement not worth going on with. If anything, people find this rather childish and furthermore lack interest in any experience on saintsRO. Knowing you two, i'm bound to have one of you mention something over MSN for saying anything on here and i'll be expecting it if you so choose to make comments.

@kopono: saintsRO, at the moment, has it's host (david), a site admin (Yomanda), a GameMaster administrator (Yukino Chan), and two inter-server programmers/tech admins (Avin and myself). I guess it kind of makes things a little easier, but it's also a good thing to find the bugs before putting a server live :p that's why all my servers have done so well in the past.

@sineas: our host at the moment is a business called SystemInPlace. It's not exactly the most reliable, nor the best in server hardware or customer service, but it's quite affordable. For our server usage rate, SaintsRO is charged about $50 for the system itself every month. Although, I believe David is putting forth the effort for advertising deals which will end up bringing that monthly fee up a bit. Even so, I do believe that server cost is irrelevant in the entire arguement as well.

@prospering server owners: I must agree with the statement brought up by Sineas. You can not rely on donations alone to support your server at any point of it's uptime. The worst thing about hosting is the risk of losing all you've worked for due to lack of funds, so always be prepared for everything that may come up.

I hope this clears up a bit of the misconceptions about saintsRO, and also lighten the arguement a bit. Not for one server's sake, but also for the sake of our own credibility both as a player and as a Server Authority.

Anyways to the point. I was fired after I was told by 95% of the server, that they enjoyed me being a Gm and that they trusted me. I think that if Admins were smart like Paul and Shane. Then they would realize like Paul and Shane that I was a good gm and the players realized that, and felt comfortable.

Taking me away from them, didnt help you at all. I had many people sad becuase I was fired.

Anyways, to the point. If you guys dont need to flame each other.

If you have proof of Shane making items Pre- His post and Pre our Card Iteming because to get people to listen, we had ot do something drastic to prove everything.
@David: you destroyed their trust. You manipulated them letting them think you could trust them. You made items behind their back then woeing and killing anyone in your path. I don't think you ever died.

As for Aidan and his account thing. Your "Tech Admin" Traded him LLRO Items for Saints Items. Also, last I checked it's not illegal to have someone donate for you. Matt donated for Aidan. It was Aidan's account Aidan's Ip, and Aidan's E-mail. Matt donated FOR him, thats not a crime. So, Aidan never di anything wrong. If he did then so did Matt he traded items, as well. Shouldn't he deserve the same punishment? A @ban? That would seem just.
