Obviously you haven't been on SaintsRO. We have never had more then 50 people connect. So you can stop trying to make the server look bad when you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Wow, this server seems pretty nice. My server only had 1 person doing the Website/Game/Coding/Scripting/GM-ing in the beginning... which was me. So I guess you guys are going to be a pretty good server in the future  .

I don't get your point. I think it's stupid to only have 1 GM. We'll, if you're just catering to only 1 country and one spoken language maybe that's ok or you speak like 10 different nation based languages it's ok too. BUT if you have players scattered around the world, IMO it's just wise to have more than 1 GM.

Why would I need to profit off of the server? That's not my intention. The intention for SaintsRO is to have place where friends can gather and have fun. Why would I need to steal the server's money when I'm putting everything I got into advertisement and future upgrades? I'm not in for the money. If i was into the money wouldn't I have closed the server and ran off already? I've already put in $200 of my own money for this server. I have no intentions with running off with the money. My intention is to build this server even with all of you bashing it with your childish remarks. Why would I want to be like Kevin from wolfRO? I was a wolfRO victim as well. I donated probably 1k a year since it was up. Again why am I in it for the money? When I own two successful family businesses?

What type of server do you have that $200 placed in on it is already a big deal? I'm billed $300 and change a month to run my server and I don't go cramming on how to get donations.


On another note: This goes out to all who might in one day open their own server... Your server is your own responsibility not your players. It's either suck it up or cough it out.

The cramming for donation thing is generalized. My question was why even post on how much money you have put in on your server, it's irrelevant and it doesn't prove anything.

And yes I did read the entire thread before I posted. I just didn't reply on the accusations because I'm not even there to begin with.

I normally don't get myself involved in this stuff... especially now that overall i've stopped playing RO. How many times i've shown this link via IM, i lost count already, but it seems like each and every time it's an another irrelevant sequence of posts that ultimately get nowhere.

@ben: Sup man? How's your server been going? Hopefully well, as i noticed you've done a lot of new work to it. You know i don't have anything against you, but what Avin and David have said are both accurate. SaintsRO hasn't hit even 50 players and has rarely had venders (other than myself and 2 others before i stopped playing). As for your activity on their server, login account database shows me that you don't have an account by any of those names, anything close to those names, or even characters with any of the names i could relate to your previous RO gameplay. Perhaps you may have gotten their server confused with another similarly-named server?

@Avin and David: Pressing on this topic doesn't make the server any better, although i have no idea how many people on RMS actually look at these forums o_o;; i know I don't. We've worked to improve saintsRO from what it used to be, and it's showing itself to be more successful than before as well. I also know how you two want to make a point on here, but my advice to you both is that it's an arguement not worth going on with. If anything, people find this rather childish and furthermore lack interest in any experience on saintsRO. Knowing you two, i'm bound to have one of you mention something over MSN for saying anything on here and i'll be expecting it if you so choose to make comments.

@kopono: saintsRO, at the moment, has it's host (david), a site admin (Yomanda), a GameMaster administrator (Yukino Chan), and two inter-server programmers/tech admins (Avin and myself). I guess it kind of makes things a little easier, but it's also a good thing to find the bugs before putting a server live :p that's why all my servers have done so well in the past.

@sineas: our host at the moment is a business called SystemInPlace. It's not exactly the most reliable, nor the best in server hardware or customer service, but it's quite affordable. For our server usage rate, SaintsRO is charged about $50 for the system itself every month. Although, I believe David is putting forth the effort for advertising deals which will end up bringing that monthly fee up a bit. Even so, I do believe that server cost is irrelevant in the entire arguement as well.

@prospering server owners: I must agree with the statement brought up by Sineas. You can not rely on donations alone to support your server at any point of it's uptime. The worst thing about hosting is the risk of losing all you've worked for due to lack of funds, so always be prepared for everything that may come up.

I hope this clears up a bit of the misconceptions about saintsRO, and also lighten the arguement a bit. Not for one server's sake, but also for the sake of our own credibility both as a player and as a Server Authority.

Anyways to the point. I was fired after I was told by 95% of the server, that they enjoyed me being a Gm and that they trusted me. I think that if Admins were smart like Paul and Shane. Then they would realize like Paul and Shane that I was a good gm and the players realized that, and felt comfortable.

Taking me away from them, didnt help you at all. I had many people sad becuase I was fired.

Anyways, to the point. If you guys dont need to flame each other.

If you have proof of Shane making items Pre- His post and Pre our Card Iteming because to get people to listen, we had ot do something drastic to prove everything.
@David: you destroyed their trust. You manipulated them letting them think you could trust them. You made items behind their back then woeing and killing anyone in your path. I don't think you ever died.

As for Aidan and his account thing. Your "Tech Admin" Traded him LLRO Items for Saints Items. Also, last I checked it's not illegal to have someone donate for you. Matt donated for Aidan. It was Aidan's account Aidan's Ip, and Aidan's E-mail. Matt donated FOR him, thats not a crime. So, Aidan never di anything wrong. If he did then so did Matt he traded items, as well. Shouldn't he deserve the same punishment? A @ban? That would seem just.
