RO Server's today.

So. I have, for the past...year or so been looking for a decent and stable Lowrate server.
I have tried at least 20, and with "tried" i really mean tried. I have found that most server's at one point lose their players because of either the people that join are a so called... "Server domination guild" and they tend to come to fresh and new servers, play a lot, be a great part of the community, then seriously kick donkey in WoE and after a week or 2-3 they leave because nobody offers them any resistance. (Which i can totally relate to.) Or another reason I saw alot was that the GM team just... dissapeared or got involved with scandal.

I have been looking at the RMS server database lately and been trying some server's but i gotta say, none of them really had what the old server's used to have. It's always one or the other. Server 1 has a great and stable community, but has too many lame customs. Server 2 has the real RO feel, but lacks the players.

Now this is really just a rant, but I hope i'm not alone in this, thinking RO has way, waaay too many priv server's which basically just spreads the allready low amount of people still playing this game arround too much. AND it also feels as if the good trusty RO feeling has been lost to us as well.

I have heard about this.. RO.org server comming out soon, and I can't wait to give it a try, and i really put my hopes on them to bring the game back to it's older glory.  Because for me, it's hard to give up on this game, because it can be pretty damn awesome if the server allows it to be.


Maybe It's just me? Maybe I'm holding on too long to the old times, where the game was more then non-stop drama. Probably half the people don't even know what i'm talking about since they just weren't there at the time.

Anyway, this shall be the end of my rant, I wonder if people feel the same as i do on this matter.

Times have changed. The old low-rate vets moved to balanced high-rates, or they just quit.
And yeah, RO has too many privates and too many people spread out between them.

Ran into the same wall lately which drove me to just give up and play on officials. I've looked at just about every appealing server and none of them are anything like what we used to have. RO is really hitting a down point, considering that all the low rate players now refuse to play low rates or have quit the game all together for other things.

It's all just a shame really.

It's inevitable. But I won't even touch officials like Gankz once tried because they're actually worse than private servers when it comes to real money drain.

Eh the cash shop thing can be avoided and it's easy as hell to buy kafra credits considering you can buy those ultimate game cards at gamestop and use those. Not only that but you're helping support the people who made the game, not some 20 year old basement dweller who thinks he can turn a quick buck with his private server.

In iRO valkyrie, you're kind of inclined to purchase cash shop items, especially since they've really acted hard on purchasing cash shop items with Zeny.  There are too much items needed to suceed in Valk that only come from the cash shop, and you won't be able to compete against people with them.

Besides, I'd rather support a growing private server than the official declining version any day.

Declining maybe, but it still has more players than any private server that's alive today. Sure they have 3k+ with the bots, but when the bots get wiped every once in a while, they hit around 1.5k players, and that's only on valkyrie. Private servers are such a monumental waste of money because chances are they will only last a few months at most and you just used your money on absolutely nothing.

Gangz we here in India have formed a team ,this team is spread along States of India ,we are building Ragnarok fan club FOr india this will help the newbies to know more about games also we are seeing accesing ragnarok through different modules through psps,Mobiles,Xbox we are happy that we got break through in Mobile application for ragnarok ,This would bring the craze for ragnarok back I want many more people to support my idea its like remergence of ragnarok in India

Majority of LR seeking players have moved on to iRO Valkyrie. Far more stable and highly populated.

I can vouch for that, I've met several people on Valk that used to play low rates.

I just hope ro org will offer the thing other servers these days can't. I really miss playing the game, but the servers that are out there today just don't have it anymore.

Maybe if a few servers would merge, it could bring forth something interesting.
