I don't know but usually "nerfing" hp/def/mdef just make people go "Meh, gms buffed the mvps to be hard to kill, not fun, it used to be fast and we could ninja and do other stuff easy".
It's still the same concept as before just take a bit more to kill, you can still asura lex/ad bragi/hw sg+quag bragi+sniper aspd/etc most of the time.
Even if more hp/def/mdef is cool to make competition but won't help/last much imo, most of the usual ways will still work fine and without problems and you can end with some people hate the way it's after sometime.
2 team parties that know how the game works will steal wins soon or later and other will quit trying to kill the mvp if it's too hard or too boring.
Also, this won't give a big incentive for party mvp kills[well, for some will, like guilds that do mvp kill runs or events for fun but aside that meh :S since the drops are the same for the same effort because card isn't that much of a reward[well, card is nice but how can you've that in mind if the mvp takes too much to kill and the other drops suck? It's like a shot in the dark that in the end sucks to do because the profit is zero and mvps should give at least a nice reward in the end] except for easy/fast kills since people can camp and kill them fast].
This also creates the same problem as before - Player skill won't go higher just will make people hate more the mvps they're trying to kill to get the card so you end with the same PVM Kings that have no skill in a team because they're good in killing that type of mvps because they're easy since it asks for the same old ways to kill stuff and nothing new or to make them think a bit about ways to make it easier/faster/less painful/to compete better.
I'm sure lots of people already made lots of stuff as the following stuff I'm gonna say.
I already stole:
- a GTB at 51% with insta JT spam using HW to a aspd sniper
- a Bacsojin at 50% with a WS to a aspd sniper
- a Phreeoni at 50% with a ME HP casting Holy light vs a HW
- a Doppelganger at 6% with a ME HP to another ME HP
- a Dracula at 11% to 6 player team with a ME HP
- a Amon Ra at 2% to a 5 player team with a WS
- a Berz at 2nd form 10% using a sniper vs a Crit Sinx
- a Boitata at 51% with a Creator vs a Champ
in low/mid/high rates[doesn't matter where and when].
This are just examples but you can see that most of the times means players loose because they've 0 knowledge about how the game works aka no experience of hard stuff in the game, they just think because their build works at normal monsters that it will work at mvps and go for the fail vs competition or because they've got numbers that the damage they give don't end distributed through all the chars and 1 player competition can't steal and then stop trying to win after a hard defeat.
Sometimes it looks like the newbie grounds need a tut about pvm meta-games >_>
PVP/WOE/BG makes some players be good players since they learn a lot playing them then why not the same but for PVM? Because they're too easy and don't make you use the brain so much as the other action parts of RO

New challenges for me are better then just buff the old things but this is me.
@canon3212: Fastest ways are probally:
- Gospel+SP song+HP for lex at lv 2 of thors near the warp to 3, Ifrit at the entrance of 3, get buffs at 2, asura at 3, bwing to town/walk back to lv 2[depends on the server and if the mvp don't tele on touch with warp], repeat. Without Gospel and SP song works fine too but takes a bit more time.
- Clean a part of thors near the mvp so you get a space without master/byorgues, get a linked bragi clown with anti-fire, get a hw with anti-fire, sg spam ftw, have some panaceas/green pots, pray to not lag and never get toooo close to him. AMP+SG 10 ftw, he won't eq, you just will need maybe some sp pots, easy to do in 5-15 minutes depending on gears. Kasa and Sala are supposed to die in 1 AMP SG or 2, something around that so they never go near you or your bragi slave.
Also, too low pop makes competition be crap, not fun to play imo, for that I just make a server with my pc and invite friends to play with me and we have fun alone without nobody doing s***. That would just end in the same as before, no player skill gained, no effort to become better or to learn a thing or too. You can see iRO Pre-Renewal videos at Youtube and how they could solo almost every damn thing with pots and kafra s***. Renewal made it even easier. What you end in the end from that PVM Rulers? Crap players for WoE/PVP/BG if they don't play it a bit.
PVM can be fun as PVP/WOE/BG just need to be a good challenge and make the self claimed "PVM KINGS" be true PVM KINGS and have good party supporting them as PVM KING BUDDIES and not hear this all the time:
"Yo, PVM KING, I heard you were good but guess what, me and my BUDDIES are
BETTER!! So GTFO of my Kingdom because the only Kings here is me and my Knights, thx."
Also, instances are nice as in ET[well, the idea is nice aside that not much] but outside that is junk, where is the competition? Where is the thrill to win vs others? You got the idea of job done after so many floors and good rewards but what about other stuff? Most of the stuff in ET is s*** drops that @autoloot doesn't look good to use. Competition is 0, everything dies too fast anyway, you can do ET in less then 1h with almost NO GEAR, just the right chars from floor 1 to 101.
Instances are better used in other stuff like you can use them as make instances for castles and use them for guild towns for who gets them in WoE or get a hotel with instance floors for who wants to rent a room to get his own save spot like it was an old Final Fantasy Game all the time, etc stuff like that is cool, stuff retarded as Giant Bapho are stupid, quest is boring, challenge is 0 and the only reward is to get the headgear with the doll and then ignore that it exists forever lol
