PvE servers

are there any good  PvE focused servers out there? I see alot of PvP/WoE oriented servers.
I miss those times when you gather up a 10 man party just to kill a single MVP. lol.

Not really... Most of the players that are left desire WoE/PvP, that's it. That's the essence of RO for 'em, and MVPing is done in groups of maybe five or so in the same guild in order to achieve items for themselves :x or for market monopoly.

No good servers anymore really, at least, nothing social-based.

=( well thats just sad. too much elitism i guess? I was co admin at a cetain server. I was hoping it would turn out to be more PvE. 2 guilds played and then after a week or so, the server was plagued with alot of MVPs. freaking farmers. WoE was no longer enjoyable and there's barely a player who wants to go Dungeon clearing. I decided to quit. :|

Fact that RO dying game is unavoidable. The way of PvE is just old school that no one invents more creative tactics to make PvE enjoyable. That's why PvP/BG/WoE is more exciting than PvE, fighting real human > AI.

And you know there will be always nolifers who always camp MvP 24/7 nowadays, on each Pservers -wink-.

Depends. There might be if you're okay with low population and low rates. :P

Mmm, right now, I'm in a High Rate server and my guild is more on PvE.

I'm personally a hunter who hunts for fun and not for cards... and I've gathered most of the server's PvE enthusiasts into a party. :3

THough PVP is still big, I think PVE could still Exist. There just needs to be people who are into the fun and not the rewards.

I don't know about other servers, but my server sure as hell isn't focused around PvP/WoE, even though it offers pretty much everything for it. For some reason, the majority of the players simply choose to PVM/PVE most of the times. The @main spam for party recruits is getting a bit out of hand at times, even ._.

If you want, you could always suggest some ideas to how to make a server more PvE oriented for me, haha.

Easy, change all the soloable mvps to something hardcore that asks a party that knows what they're making. It would make players understand better how mechanics work and would make competition appear in team vs team and not 1 vs 1 and nobody could just drop a mvp in others since they would need to start everything from zero and that would be boring as in bio 3 mvps  ::)
EQ and Hell's Judgment isn't even needed to make them harder if someone is thinking about that, there are easy ways to make that happen.
This would make challenges at pvm appear and would make every single char usable and not just a dual to get something done.
Everybody knows that the current mvps are too easy to kill and ask no skill or almost no team to kill.
ET? Can be done with 2 players doing double.
Giant Bapho? Same, 2 players doing double.
Satan? Can be done solo.
Berz? Easy done by 2 people.
Ifrit? Easy to solo.
Hibram? Can be done solo.
Heck, most of the stuff is to easy nowadays with the stuff available >_>
And this applies to pre-renewal and renewal. No changes were made except being easier to solo or to do mvps with a 2 man party.
Yes, it's fun to kill in a big party but if the players suck you end into having more problem getting people alive because everyone that dies just love to complain about being dead and need res then to get something done so yep, mvps need a change, there is a need of more party oriented things that can just start in that.

If BG changed to what is now[as in people prefer eAmod then the normal BG] why not a MVP MOD?

NOTE - Not saying that every mvp should be as bio 3 [about how they work and "hard" they are for new people in the game] but they could get a super change to be harder to kill, ask no hard stuff to kill and just players doing their jobs, mvp cards wouldn't be around that easy and would be something unique when someone would get their hands into one. I can probably record my edited GTB and editted Doppel if someone wants to get an idea about what I'm talking about.

What I've personally done was simply buff the MVP's HP/DEF/MDEF to increase it's survivability WHILE making it possible for guilds who antagonize other guilds to be able to fight each other (also increasing the limit to how many you can antagonize and ally... Or possibly making it an item/quest that the guild must do in order to increase their alliance/antagonist size)

This allows greater competition when attempting to MVP.

Of course, there is still lots to consider...

Buffing MVPs is a great idea.
@Triper How do you solo Ifrit O.o haha i feel like a newb naw.

Are there 3rd Servers thats more PVE? cause 3rd jobs now feel like you can solo anything -.-... On official servers(pRO) Sura can almost solo any MVP.

.. How about increasing the XP bonus the more people inside your party? is this possible? Im not much of a SRC geek -.- ....
Or quests that require a party to finish?.

Right now I have a LR server (Close Beta) that's more focused on PVE a lthough theres still be WoE/PVP.
who thinks instances are awesome? >:)

I like that antagonize thing, sounds awesome!  And OP must be looking at the wrong place.  TalonRO has a good PVE poppulation, with parties going all day er' day.  Should just join a low rate server.
