Pre-RO's IPod Nano Give-Away!

Every week, an iPOD NANO event takes place in Pre-RO. Everyone may join. You may recognize this event similar to what takes place in some US malls such as the Great Mall in California. Players who join this event will be warped into a SHIP. On this ship, you may walk/move/trade, and do whatever you wish, but you may not leave the ship. If you leave the ship, you will lose and warped back to PreTown.

If you disconnect, touch any of the warps, or drop massive loot, you will be automatically warped back into PreTown. The last person who stays on this ship, will be our winner. This winner will receive a 4GB Red iPOD NANO as displayed below.

Time: Weekly, 4:00PM (Hong Kong) / 4:00AM (New York) / 1:00AM (California)
Place: A staff member or a gm will announce the place where you will gather.

What happens if you make a character just to stay on the boat and leave your computer on? Does that mean you get a free IPod every week?

This is the dumbest promotion I've ever seen on a PRIVATE RO SERVER... I could understand things like this on iRO, but on a private server?!

And what if the server loses connection and all players disconnect?

There's also the possibility that multiple players would use the distributed botting software Pre-RO privided links for (after voting for their server of course) to keep this event going on... until the server disconnects or goes down for maintenance.

This is... not even a reasonable event.  Sounds like the idea was stolen from a reality show without any thought put into it.

There is also no way to prove that a real person will win the prize.

lol well its ridiculous to me cause i'm use to having to PAY to play RO not have someone giving me random stuff for playing so thats why i think it is ridiculous

i think they should at least make the player on the ship have to respond to those bot check system that pops up at random times (failure to respond within x second or minute will be disqualified).  That would make it easier for human to compete and you might gotta take shift to watch the monitor in order to win xD

Lol, it'd be funny if someone had a solid connection and just sat there and waited on the ship. I understand what TearBleu is doing though. He is trying to make a bigger population on the server to get people who want to join a big server to join the server. xD It's going to cost him though =X!

Gotta be a catch. Eighther its the previously mentioned bot deal.. and in the end the winner will always be someone whos in the server hosts "pocket".. thus there is an Announced winner but no actual ipods will ever be handed out but the servers benefit will still remain(people falling for it will provide a population for the server)...

Or. Theres something not being mentioned to boot people off the ship(like pvp) and again they can engineer it so someone whos friends with the host "wins" and the host will never need to give any ipod cus the friend will never tell.

And after further inspection... server sux. Has ridiculous customs that allow certain players invincibility.
