I'm not sure about the exact details and what the problems are, i might have a clue of what they are but, i still think aRO is a good(not great) server, just not handled correctly. Ill return in a heartbeat if they got those problems fixed(which i doubt).

The donation is *directed* to AnimaRO - if their staff does a two week vacation to Hawaii from it and gets drunk from Vodka and Champaign, I don't care - the money is theirs; because of what they've done, and not because of what I expect them to do.

We are not buying a service/items/cards. We are DONATING.
Getting a card/whatever is just a little extra.

Plus, if this is really you, Merah, I've seen you on the AnimaRO forums - and I'd expect more virtues from you, remembering your posts back then. Right now, you're lowering yourself to .. a really low level O.o


And honestly: voice disguisers, MPD, "hacking", attacking behind one's back, threatening, whatever-chan "taking castles using GM gears", the "Truth" - are you still okay? Seriously, unless you're 15 or younger, I would suggest .. professional treatment. Sorry, Calbee, but Harken knew it was you, and so I'm not going to be the one taking the blame for your attack. It's nothing personal, and you know I totally respect you regardless for your valiant effort in fighting for spreading the Truth.



Quick Summary:
Harken is a lazy, greedy criminal who is cheating all donators out of their money. AnimaRO will also most likely be s*** down very soon, or it will fall apart beyond repair due to Harken\'s lazy attitude and poor management skills.
 
Full Details:
Debbie was a hard-working individual that respected fairness and treating her staff members well. She\'d spend at least 8-12 hours each day, including weekends, working on the server, whether it was replying to emails or helping out other High GMs with difficult investigation-type scam cases. She\'d always investigate a case thoroughly before taking proper actions, even if the case seemed simple and obvious. Everyone always admired her for her fair judgement.
 
Recently Harken took over the server illegally. By doing so, he committed a felony. When Debbie passed away, Harken immediately took over the server - for the money. Harken is a criminal. He illegally stole the server\'s data. Without permission, he just took the information from the servers and copied them over to his own. Not only this, he transferred ownership of the ad sponsor accounts that was owned by Debbie. Harken will soon face criminal charges and be brought to court.
 
It\'s believed that Harken had planned to overthrow Debbie for some time now. The reason he was able to transfer ownership of everything so smoothly is because he had a lot of access to AnimaRO\'s database and webserver. Why would he have all this if he\'s only a public relations person? Before Debbie passed away, Harken had visited Debbie regularly. Debbie, being forgetful, would most likely have the server\'s information such as passwords stored on her computer since she knows that nobody would have access to it. Harken took this opportunity to steal the server information and waited for this day. When Debbie passed away, he was most likely secretly jumping for joy since AnimaRO would now be under his control.
 
Not only will Harken face criminal charges, he doesn\'t care about the players. Recently the support ticket system fell apart since all of the High GMs left (Debbie, Shia, Calbee, Eclipse, Gemini). The only High GMs left are Konoka (only deals with bots) and BlackTalon (server tech stuff) and they do NOT deal with tickets or manual spend credit requests. Harken has never attempted to help out with tickets himself. If you were ever waiting for a reply from Harken, you could be sure to expect to wait at least 2 weeks for a response, not because he\'s busy, but because he is lazy and incompetent. Right now, there are over 20 pages of High GM tickets and Harken has NO intention of clearing this backlog.
 
On top of this, once paypal was set back up, tons of manual spend request donations poured in. Harken has no intention of fulfilling these himself, he will either *use* a high GM to clear it, or just not do anything about it. The 72 hour mark has been reached for most of these donations, there is absolutely NO backlog in fulfilling donations as well. When the webserver crashed and rolled-back all the recent submissions were cancelled. If there\'s backlog now, it\'s because Harken doesn\'t care to clear it.
 
Harken only cared for Therm to put paypal back up and for Gene to fix up the ad sponsors so the money can flood in. His excuse? He will probably say that the server is in need of financial funds. This is bulls***. Harken was in charge of the mail donations and has over $8,000 outstanding that he owes Debbie. His mail donation staff never sent Debbie this money through paypal. Harken could have used this money to finance the server at the beginning. Yet he is greedy and wants to pocket more money. He does nothing but point fingers and tell other people to do things (ex. Therm, Eclipse and BlackTalon), but when he does do anything, he creates a huge screw-up.
 
Therm is being used by Harken right now. After the first day paypal was set up, over $10,000 USD was donated through paypal. This is quite obvious from the people who donated $100-$500 who complained that they were not credited in ad credits. STOP DONATING TO HIM. You are only encouraging his criminal activities and wasting your money on a worthless cause.
 
Gravity has already been contacted with proper proof and documentation that the server earns money way beyond just a few thousand. Once they reply back, AnimaRO will be sued and s*** down, with all your hard work going down with it.
 
On top of Harken trying to make money by using staff members and not doing anything himself, Harken is the most abusive GM out there. A while ago, he banned Rince for apparently warping people to places where they\'d get stuck. Rince received a permanent ban for this since Harken claims he was warned \"several times\". This is not true. He was never warned before and because of Harken\'s pride, he did not want to admit he was wrong and just ignored the unban requests. But the true reason behind this ban was because Harken had a bias towards Rince. Rince had posted some things on the RMS forums and Harken saw this. He used this opportunity to get rid of Rince. Recently Merahmatriz was also banned because Harken disliked him.
 
Harken generally makes up excuses and fake evidence that is not solid at all. Even if he later realizes he\'s wrong, he will not admit to it or fix it. He is rigid and prideful. When Debbie was still around, she would put personal feelings aside and only look at justice and fairness in the eyes. Now that Harken has taken over, you can be sure that you or someone you know might be the one banned next for just getting on his bad side.

Hurry and tell all your friends. This server will not live much longer! Do not waste time here!

You compare Calbee's attempt at shedding light on where donation money is going and how corrupt a GM is, to a six year old and a toy car?

The donation money can go wherever it wants. If I'm enjoying the server in a couple of months still, it gets donated to again. It's in Harken's interest to keep it going therefore, if he does that by buying more and more servers, if he does that by paying his staff, or if he does that by getting wasted every Thursday, Friday and Saturday to uphold the morale, it.doesn't.matter. It doesn't matter to the players either, they want a server to play on, and as long as they get it, they're fine and they don't want to put up with some insider-drama about certain people who got banned to which they have zero relation to.

As someone else said, if he indeed dumps the server, or makes it unplayable, no one would donate out of the blue anyway - he's not requesting the donations in any way. But as long as the server is working fine - and right now it is - the donations keep flowing and that's a fair deal.

So much drama over this and yet - people are STILL playing and enjoying the game as always...

I fully agree. People do not want to be involved in your personal cat fight and they don't care whether whatever-chan took castle xyz with whatever gear in whatever year that has long passed and nobody cares about anymore. Leave us players alone with your vendetta crap already, we want to play and not have tons of drama from some 313373 "top" tier players that got booted and now have apparently nothing else to do than to think of revenge - and if they can spam the heck out of the players and get their revenge on ordinary people's back, that's just fine for them.

I mean, your life is just absolutely and completely going to end and is totally revolving around the fact that there are a group of people out there, running a private server, with their own rules and actually having FUN without you?

I do however care about my friends who still remain there and their well-being as players who've donated to a server that the funds are now being pocketed apparently.

But don't drag hundreds of players into your own personal cat fight.

I am glad that you agree at this point, that the AnimaRO community (even at least a fraction of it) should be protected.

Players generally are the ones most affected when things like these occur. We lag (from DoS probably), can't access the forums, have the economy f*** up because of the instability of ads as a result. I myself don't have the resources to donate, but those who actually spend money I believe deserve to play the game smoothly and without these distractions. At first I was appalled at aRO's alleged history, but after some thought I realized that what's really important is the continued operation of the server for the enjoyment of the current players.

Clearly, there is a "long-lasting war going on behind the scenes". But more than that, one would see that the attackers are not exactly "a group of Anti-AnimaRo Vandals". More of "anti-Harken" I would say. And as such, in an attempt to simply bug and discredit Harken, actions are being done that affect the general aRO populace as well, which is sad.

One solution, of course is to tell the attackers to keep it private. I doubt though that they will comply. Too much bitterness have been sown in the past.

Maybe more thought should be done on Scarlet's suggestion:

With Harken not at the head, I believe the attackers would quiet down. And, everybody can just enjoy playing as usual

You don't need to keep the top position, Harken, just do what you enjoy the most. You're the mechanics man, the strategy guy, the gameplay guru. I really enjoy it when you post about fresh uses for old stuff, insightful and creative ways of using a character. Your efforts to balance top-level game is also very much appreciated. You don't need to hold the top position, it's much more trouble than it's worth as you may be seeing by now. It also shows that you are more mature than this bunch who can't let go of the past.

So please consider Scarlet's suggestion.
