Is there still demand for 3/3/2 rates?

I've gotten the feeling that 5/5/3 rates are the lowest most people are comfortable playing in based on the sort of population most servers start out with (usually < 100, lucky if >100). I'm planning on ways to lengthen the initial period of time that holds most players interest from ~3 months to half a year and lowering rates is one of the options. I will also disabling trans class and dungeons targeted towards them until 3 months with WoE starting at month 1, among other things.

Will 3/3/2 drive people away?

you don't like mid rate no bg server? seems many have that kind of server

@neuf No man i like servers which are very hard-to-achieve. i prefer anything from 1x ~ 8x because of the time it takes everyone to lvlup... and i hate bg because i still think it's a pre-req for WoE which i hate and might be wrong about...

Well, if you want to have good gears, BG might be the best option.

And as for your question, 3/3/2 is still in demand and it will never drive people away, its in the player's choice. Last time I played on a low rate, the pop was around 120 (well, let's say around 30-60 without the vendors and dual clients)

Not sure if there are still people who are willing to play Low Rate servers since the people who are used to play in official server back in the days are busy with work or school. Why not give it a try? ^^

I love nostalgia just like everyone else, but last time I was on a low rate it got boring so fast. Lots of people don't have time for low rates anymore, and unless the server has some good casual play features, some fun quests, and some cool team based events people will lose interest fast. I think community is really important, because low rates aren't like mid rates where you can just dual client and play by yourself.

But yeah, if it was something like that I don't think 3/3/2 would drive people away. Show the RO community something new and unique for a change.

I miss euphRo it was exactly like that and had like 1200 players on. Eco was good too, but they chose to not disable GL items which wrecked the WoE in long run. 2 big guilds united and defended & invested the certain castles you need to get GL items.
